I have been a DnB/ Jungle fan for many decades. And I think you’ve done an amazing job at your first attempt. Definitely a groovy tune. I think you’re missing your callling. hehe. It’s good to produce more than one genre. It opens your mind/ ears to new rhythms, melodies and ways of composing. Since you like the more smoother yet melodic drum and bass definitely check out LTJ Bukem. Good luck in your future DnB efforts. 👍🏽

Dnb is the best genre, can do any type of sample with it, can do a trap/drill/soul/rnb/ama piano remix to dnb, just takes alot of effort and good sound design skills...

Just got that today. Getting an SD card for it next week. Until then, I'll be in control mode. Before this, I used the Touch. My newer Mac won't see it. Perfect opportunity to grab the first standalone model I've owned since the original 2000. Great video. Very encouraging

This guys a legend, been a fan for awhile now and he's truly one of the best producers for producers in years. Just wish he would release some of his amazing tracks from his massive collection he has built up on his Ableton. Even his Hard Drive Waste songs would make for an awesome album or even just a couple single releases. I'd be bold to say with his contributions to major song from big and growing artists like Dua Lipa and the Weekend that he has helped define and revive the disco/funk genre in the pop music realm today.

@devoncraigjohnson3 күн бұрын
So when Justice and Daft Punk edit someone else's creation by chopping samples together, that's not work?
@JayCryptikКүн бұрын
@@devoncraigjohnson There's a difference between creating music on top of sampling others. And simply just drag and dropping the samples and sprinkling edits for taste. Daft Punk, Kanye, J Cole, Run DMC are perfect examples of how to properly sample. Side note: I'm a customer of Splice for over 3 years.
@devoncraigjohnsonКүн бұрын
@@JayCryptikso it sounds like the only difference is the sample. If you sample from records that exist, chop and edit, then it’s valid. But if you take loops, chop and edit (same process, work-wise) then it’s not legit. Sounds a lot like the same argument people used when sampling started. That it’s not work.
