Eventually I'd like to see you get rid of the swing arm on the rear and build a semi indipendant suspension Also leave the dent in the frame, it's a good reminder to be safe and it also builds character!

Reverse the rear wheels to change the offset like you said. I have done this many times. I understand your thinking but it has zero added stress on the hubs because it just moves the leverage from the top of the hub to the bottom instead.
@toordog1753
@toordog1753 4 жыл бұрын
That's not true, it adds tension to the hub. All wheels add a leverage point on the hub creating tension so adding a wheel that's taller adds more...
@julesr101
@julesr101 4 жыл бұрын
@@toordog1753 I would agree about taller putting more strain on the hub, but that's not what I said.

It does look better but it's not worth the added turning radius it causes. Running the front like that also causes the wheel bearings to wear out fast. Been there and done both on my kinroad, only difference is I'm running old 11 inch honda rims with 23 inch tires. Now I'm running the rims turned around correct but use either 1 or 1.5 inch wheel spacers.

Better than alot I've seen from guys with 10+ yrs experience so I can only hope to be on this guys level one day. Only problem i have is no access to tools i love working on stuff and I know how to do basic things but it's hard to further my knowledge without anyone to teach me or give me access to the things I need. Oh well maybe one day. Keep up the great work bro youve given me inspiration to keep pushing no matter how hard it gets.

Running the bigger discs in the front Will make more sense since there i more pressure on the front tires when braking. and the opposite on the rear tires. Thats why motorcycles have 1 rear disc and Two in front .

I think you'll be light years ahead if you ditch the swingarm for true independent rear suspension. The ride will be nicer and it'll go over rocks a lot easier. Volkswagen Beatle CV axles can be had for $55 or so each off of Rock Auto usually ships within 7 days. The extra articulation will allow for more comfort while riding off road. Once you get into your early 30s, you'll hate bumpy rides.
