So, can you show us an update on these please? I'd like to see if they lived through all this. I know they don't like to be messed with a whole lot and this was a lot.

I’m not surprised that you didn’t direct or provide a follow up to this.

That’s a lot to do at one time is it still alive ??

It would depend on the time of year this was done. If this is done late winter-early spring then the trees should be fine.

Yep if it’s near growing season then it’ll recover with all the energy it stored in its dormant period

I mixed my own soil. I use Turface, Akadama and Fir Bark mixed together.

@@superbonsai7537 IOW, you used gravel. If plants could sue people, they would charge you with brutality.

I thought they die if you separate them

It can be traumatic to them if done improperly. In their natural habitat they grow as single trees just like any other. Big box stores sell them in bunches to make them look more full. If kept together long term, the trees will start to compete for nutrients and space. I would not recommend dividing/transplanting, cutting roots, doing a hard prune, and then watering with steaming hot water all in one day 😣 I’m doubtful these survived given they never posted an update and Norfolk pine are already finicky enough without being maimed.

Hideous butchering You ruined those trees. You did in minutes what is properly done over years. The leader is a scar. It was painful to watch this desecration.
