Hey curious how often you watered your jade within that 1 month before the first buds sprouted?

that would be tough to do, after 20 years just chopping it down.

I can't imagine pruning such a magnificent plant back to a stump! I really don't understand why you trimmed the roots. Could use some explanation. This seems brutal. Like, it will take five years for it to look normal again.

Video molto interessante! Ho sul balcone questa pianta un po' trascurata e mi piacerebbe trasformarla in bonsai. per favore puoi aggiungere delle informazioni come il tipo di terriccio usato, quale filo di ferro usare ed altro... grazie!

How does such Extreme pruning not kill the plant?

You can make forest style bonsai form it.

Mine is 6years old and allmost that big. You have enough light for your plant? And pls take a longer knife, it's better for the plant to just cute once 😊😊
@chrisbow17763 ай бұрын
Please buy a longer bladed knife, ideally a serated one. You mad eme nervous seeing you cutting towards yourself with that blade, once slip and wrists are cut. Great video though.

Hideous butchering You ruined those trees. You did in minutes what is properly done over years. The leader is a scar. It was painful to watch this desecration.

They were growing so nicely, why did you remove them from the pot?
@alignwithsource4 ай бұрын
Because each one of those is going to grow into an individual plant that needs its own space. They took cuttings to propagate new plants

It is incredible how these plants bounce back. I would invest in a better knife with a longer blade, though. This scares me...

Thanks a lot for this. I have a question for you. after the hard pruning, what is advisable. Exposing the plant to direct summer sunlight or to leave in indoors with minimal / indirect sunlight.
@superbonsai75376 ай бұрын
They love direct sunlight, just leave it in direct sunlight! After a week you should see the new growth to form.

I always cringe when I see people make videos about something they know nothing about. You didn’t make a ten year gollum jade into a bonsai. You simply put it in a smaller pot. And cutting wire with your plant nippers will ruin your nippers. They aren’t designed to cut wire.
@ibanez4561896 күн бұрын
Go watch their most recent upload. This plant is absolutely now a bonsai. Don't be such a Donna Downer
