I love making silver square knot jewellery, so this is yet another variation on a theme.

Thanks Lisa, very convenient stuff it’s called silver solder wire it comes on 30g reels is available in easy and extra easy. I use Cooksongold.com for all my jewellery supplies … N

hi Tammie thanks for that, the tool is called “external circlip pliers” they’re not sold in the jewellery industry they are more of a vehicle mechanics tool. I once tried VoiceOvers but had a few comments saying my voice sounded miserable. So soon gave up on that. my next one will be my 100th video. so it will be melting a silver bar hopefully … N

thanks for your encouragement Tammie, I mostly receive lots of nice comments on here however recently a couple of short videos started generating a surprising amount of hate comments so I just simply switch them off on those Vids. i’m looking forward to trying to melt my 1kg bar of silver I bought years ago and attempting to make some sterling wire with it … N

I sort of know the theory of making a Franco chain. You make two Cuban style curb chains one twisted to the left and one twisted to the right and then solder them together back to back. After soldering it’s filed to shape to give a flat form on opposite sides … N

It’s a very elegant chain, I’m surprised no one‘s produced a video showing how it’s made. I’ve been meaning to try and give it a go, soldering the two chains together neatly will probably be the difficult bit … so another one on the to do list … N
