the chemistry going here is actually quite cursed. here's a full vid with explanation of the effect: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/e8d3d8eFsKy4eI0.html

@@Ikantspell4 if that's someone's full name and that person isnt putting it out voluntarily that's kinda fucked up bro. Plus this seems like a backhanded compliment. You could have said the positive part very easily without the negative. Maybe I'm reading it wrong but from my perspective you're being diskish for no reason.

The Silver Pennies look cool! I almost prefer them over the original bronze-color looking ones.

Copper, pennies are coated in copper. Older pennies are solid copper.

That's an interesting sound when the penny is quenched in the water. It seems like a little bit of water boils, but it cools down very quickly after that.

This was one of my two favorite experiments we did in my high school science classes. The other one was using a Bunsen burner to super saturate some type of crystalline compound. When it was super saturated we dropped in a tiny crystal and watched it all solidify.

Thank you so much. I think you've helped me understand what happened to a metal speaker diaphragm I attached a 9volt battery to and left for years. I came across it one day and the entire thing had become this wonderful gold color. It looked exactly like the pennies did in this video. I'm not sure of the science or chemistry, but it must have been a similar process but with electricity.

can I do this or will it be considered destruction of us currency?
@tommydaniels1805 Жыл бұрын
If it is done for artistic or educational purposes you can actually even destroy currency as long as you do not attempt to resell it. And I don’t think reintegrating it back into the circulated currency market would be a big deal either in fact some people would be stoked to have one of these (like myself) from Styro Pyro to add to my coin collection
