Turning Point was a Styrian pop band and became known mainly in Austria. In 1969, Johann Köberl (Jimmy Cogan) founded the band under the name "International Travellers". The band consisted of Jimmy Cogan (vocals, harmonica, guitar), Roger Menas (guitar), Alex Rehak (vocals, bass guitar), Werner Zwirn (guitar), Werner Zwirn (bass guitar). Werner Zwirn (guitar) , Edmund Hierzer (guitar) , Ulrich Rennert (keyboard) , Alexander Deutsch (drums), and Kurt Keinrath (guitar) together. The song "Lady of My Heart" is considered the band's biggest documented success and reached the 15th place in the Austrian single charts. Alex Rehak composed the title "Easy Song (Song of La La La)", which quickly became quite popular and a radio hit. Between 1970 and 1974, Turning Point performed all over Europe and they played up to 250 concerts a year.
Spotlight was a music programme for young people broadcast by the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) between 1968 and 1978. It was the equivalent of Beat Club or Musikladen in Germany.
