For anyone who was curious, the Charioteer is a Cromwell with a new turret they built just to shoehorn the 20lber onto the Cromwell chassis. The Cromwell was never designed to take anything beyond the QF 75mm so the turret had serious compromises. The Tank Museum Bovington's very own David Fletcher considers it one of the worst tanks Britain ever made and you can see him talk about it in his bottom 5 British tanks video. I think he's a bit too harsh to it but there's no debating it was a bad tank overall. The turret had paper thin armor out of necessity and he mentions that the commander would often have to get out of the tank to see where shots were landing due to the smoke and debris the gun would produce. In addition it lost one of the vital men in the turret and it's simply a fact that a 3 man turret was hugely more efficient before the advent of autoloaders. Anyway, now you know this is basically an up gunned Cromwell.

I’m grinding British tree rn, and I’m currently on this with the ratel90, the gun is unreali lol but there is just a love/hate relationship to all those tanks over the armor. Sometimes no armor is the best armor… until I get an LMG to the face :(

I frequently run this at 8.3 and it's amazing. No stab, but works perfectly in good hands

I like this vehicle. Its a fantastic CHEAP backup for higher BRs and has the pen to keep up. Its fast enough to get somewhere where you get a kill and have more respawn points

Oh mein god I've been playing this tank (well British one) during the sturmtiger spam and oh lawwwd I love it. Also damn, I did not expect you to call it bad. I love it too bits and my heart is broken that you don't Running around the battlefield in this thing is so much fun

I still don't understand why British players don't take their AP Solid Shots with them along with APDS & a couple HE - The things spall like mad post pen make use of it and your often times great flank positions.

In my experience, ammo stored in the hull of the M-51s *NEVER* explode. Only the ready rack in the turret does. Why? I have no idea other than Gaijin being Gaijin and having no clue of what's working or not in their game. Also, a question for those few guys in the comment section who want to answer. Does firefighting assistance work in your experience? Because everytime I try to help someone extinguish a fire, it consumes one charge of FPE but doesn't actually extinguish the fire on my ally. I'm starting to get really pissed off about it...

Sturm needs a shell buff/fix, it has absolutely no spalling, and if it has, it's like 1m, arse Gaijin needs to make it act as a bomb and not a missile somehow, so it can have its area damage

Well at that br you also face heatfs which is deadlier imo for the simple fact that pen is the same no matter the distance only thing is the angle, but if you shoot in a flat spot is absolutely going thru and the pos pen will do the rest.

The front turret face being penned by 50 cals is super depressing. I killed the gunner on a bunch of American tanks just to have the roof M2 just kill my turret crew. And the laughable post pen damage is pretty bad as well.

Not sure why this got pushed to 6.3 it was fine at 5.7 imo. Even when it was 5.7 and the rare case of downtier to 4.7 3 crew and no armor made it fine imo

a trick i use in the t92 is firing while moving in reverse, its like a stabilzer at 9 km in reverse

Spaded that piece of crap today. BOY i'm not looking forward to doing it again with sweeds. It suffers additionally when there event (bc. Germany 6.3 seems to be meta). It would be berable at 6.0 as it moustly gets downtiers to "Mah first Tigor" br. If it only had better gun depression it would be half decent tho, but that would require even bigger turret than Challenger (5.3).

This is easily one of the best tanks in the game. Its fast. With high pen and high velocity shell. Has neutral steering. If it had a reverse itd be the definitikn of a meta tank. and more depression.

Yea.... gaijin nerfed the hell out of early APDS so the accuracy is absolutely atrocious at longer ranges. Because that's what the game needed.
