I hope they remaster all Turoks! I had a very difficult childhood, i remember how Turok took me to another world while playing, letting me forget about everything. It's a very special series for me! Already played 1-2 remastered it was amazing!

I always wanted to try Turok 3, but never got to buy it back in the day. 14 years ago I even tried to emulate it but the bad compat and still bad framerate was the biggest problems. So, now I get to experience it for the first time with excellent graphics and controls. I wish the Nightdive people could also update both Turok 1 & 2 to be able to run at 120+ fps, that would be abs fantastic.

I hope they do add in Multiplayer later, since we most likely won't be getting a remaster of Rage Wars.

I never got to play this one, and I'm not entirely sure why; I did really enjoy the first two, and have Night Dive's remasters. This was my favorite Shooter series for a long time (I played Borderlands for the first time a few years ago and that dethroned it), so I'll definitely be checking this out at some point.

Any retro style first person shooter is better than Call of Duty. Starting with Black Ops 2 Call of Duty became Call of Doodoo! Playing old school shooters like Quake and Duke Nukem 3D which were childhood favorites of mine the subgenre wasn't the same when it came to going to the 2000s versus the 1990s. Turok 3 being a 2000 release during the twilight years of the N64 and being an exclusive to the N64 were two of the big things that hurt it from being a financial success during it's time. I enjoy the remastered on PC with a mouse and keyboard better than with a gamepad let alone an N64 controller. I had a copy of Turok 3 for my N64 which I had as one of my Christmas presents when I was 10 years old. I played and raged quitted when I got to the boss of chapter 2. Now today that we're blessed with KZfaq and walkthroughs with games. I also as a grown man have more patience and maturity with some games that I lacked in my youth. I happen to be an achievement completitionist in Turok 3 for my PC via Steam making it my newest game on Steam to hit my Perfect Games list out of my 36 total Perfect Games that I rock at the moment of writing this comment. This game scared me as a kid. Im almost done with danielle campaign. I know the levels back and forth lol. Oh and lets not forget the cerebral bore. And noobs to this game will love it i promise ❤

There's a certain fun with these games I love. I've always enjoyed these games more than Duke Nukem and Doom back in the day

I'm on PS4, and played as Danny on Oblivion difficulty. For me, v1.0 has some issues; 1) Respawning is bugged, and sometimes respawns you with the last amount of health you had before taking the fatal blow, not the amount you had when it saved. The game then saves when you respawn, with the new low health value. So now you're stuck on a save with 4 health, loading, dying etc. I'm not sure what specific condition causes this, but it happened on maybe 30-45% of my respawns. Big issue. 2) Oblivion final boss fight (not the one with Evil Josh) had "Objective: Kill Opothisor" put on the screen at the start of the fight. Changed to "Kill Oblivion" only when I damaged him. 3) Various death animation weirdness. Hugely so with the Opothisor boss, perhaps explaining the above in my game? He died before going into the main room, and went through his full death animation. Then reappeared in the main room again and I killed him again. Its like the game thinks I accomplished the objective twice and freaked out. 4) Very easy boss encounters. I got stuck in the levels with the regular projectile enemies (the repsawning issue didn't help), but smashed through all the bosses with extreme ease. Maybe it's just the 60fps, but it just feels like they have no hope at all. They are your play things. I played on Oblivion difficulty as the girl, Danny. 5) No multi? This cost more than twice their previous releases, and the reason of "no source code" given for the absence of multi is lame. What, they can't rip the maps, models, textures and icons, just reimplement the modes, do some touch-ups, and boom job done? They could, and its weak that they didn't and charged what they're charging. Worst v1.0 of any Nightdive game on PS4.

Great port of a bad game. I loved this as a kid, played the remaster now and it´s actually one of the worse times i´ve had in gaming.

I'm in canada, and I'm unable to find this game for sale online anywhere despite today being the release date. Great review, by the way. well done!
