Sophie Paul Ihave light brown hair too and without bleaching, turquoise or darker shades of blues work really well, I know cause I have dyed my fringe/bangs a dark turquoise, it turned out quite well.

i always love the look of brown hair with a blue dip dye so i think you should go with blue

I do my hair every summer, and dark or light blue and pink and purple usually look good in my light brown hair and this year I did Angel blue by manic panic... it’s like a Colombian blue color. In love with it

Well it actually lasted quite a while.. I was hoping it would be semi permanent, but it never fully washed out, and my hair was left with a green stain! x

It honestly all depends on your hair structure and the color. Blue tones are known for leaving a greenish stain in your hair, the same goes for some purple tones (I know plum is supposed to be terrible with that, not sure if violet is a typical candidate for that problem). For many people red and pink tones wash out quite well though. I also heard from my hair stylist that if your hair is broken it might last longer in general or never disappear. Permanent colors are hard to find but Elumen by Goldwell is supposed to be permanent. L'Oreal has a new colorista line with an indigo shade but I don't know for sure if it is permanent or semi permanent.

whenever I add conditioner it's to make the colors lighter. it does make it a little bit more applicable too tho! some dyes require it, others don't. just make sure you always read the instructions :) hope this helped

For me when I dye my hair it lightens it up.. also helps apply it easier and I have heard it keeps your hair from drying out/ dying (split ends) not sure if it’s true or not because I use conditioner every time, but my hair stays healthy
