I just realised around the 32:40 mark that being able to use a local file could be really useful for development environments across a team. No need to run a script to seed some data, just commit a prepopulated database, share it around the team, set up some integration tests each with their own database, etc. Maybe merge conflicts will get a bit rough with the binary representation though... 😅

Flyio has reliability issues so it seems like you're building on sand by choosing them as your infrastructure layer. Why not just use aws or another reputable provider?

Naw fly is the right choice. AWS isn't in enough regions

Do you have a link that explains the reliability issues you are speaking of? I have been using Fly for more than a year and haven't had a problem.
