To be honest. I've tried steelseries arctis nova pro, wired and wireless, jbl quantum 910p, razar, hyperx and so much more. These turtle beach knocks it out of the park. Try it, if you dont like it return it.

I am there with you. Tried the Maxwells and the Nova Pros. These sound better than the Pros, aren't as heavy as the Maxwells and allow blue tooth to be played while gaming. I can live with the scroll wheel.

Considering the Astros A40/A50, it's worth noting that while the headset doesn't feature Bluetooth connectivity, it truly shines when it comes to providing an exceptional experience for movies, music, and gaming. Personally, I find the Astros A50 to be of top-notch quality.

I like that you're doing more non-controller stuff, though that's not to say I don't love your controller content. I recently bought the steelseries arctis nova 7's and use them with Sonar software. Very happy with that setup. Might be a cool idea to review/demo that piece of software vs dolby atmos as its free and can be used with any headset.

Good afternoon Gamer Heaven. I am right now at the phase where i am comparing headsets for which i want to buy this week. Turtle beach Stealth pro is one of them and thanks to your review i have a way better understanding of how it is. the other competitors are SteelSeries Nova Pro Wireless. I am looking to do a purchase that will last me years hopefully. I am going to check out if you have it a Review of the Astro A50. I want to thank you for taking your time to make such a extensive review and I hope that my like and hitting the subscribe button helps you out. (I have a Xbox Series X so I have seen so many review videos on headsets the last few weeks.)

Best review i've seen all day, I'm currently using the Steelseries Nova 3s, they're good but looking to upgrade,, this headset seems really good, except for the volume dial you mentioned (kinda sucks) on such an expensive headset.

I just started using it and THANK YOU for the mic monitoring tip, it was driving me crazy. Still it feels my ANC is not working properly, I have the Sony's XM4 and this Stealth Pro doesn't even comes close to it. Also, I constantly hear crackling noises on the left ear when it is on so I think something is definitely wrong.

I went for the Audeze Maxwell and it's been an amazing headset so far. Once I tried planar magnetic drivers for the first time a few years ago, I can't go back to 50mm drivers. The level of detail and clarity you get with it is fantastic.

@@darkjacob886 I’ve been using them for 2 months now and it’s been fantastic. It’s great for movies and single player games. I’m not into multiplayer games as much anymore, but for story games and movies, they are perfect. No issues with comfort for me, but everyone is different when it comes to headset comfort. I did try the turtle beach, they weren’t bad, but I wasn’t that impressed with them.

i am very tempted to buy these headphones, currently using the Arctis Pro Wireless headset and i love it, but fancy a change. I've also heard that if you hold down the "superhuman" button for a couple seconds it also turns on and off the mic monitoring :)

My biggest concerns are: wear and tear on the boom Mike, the cables from the cups, the cushions. As for the UI app, like the 700 gen 2, only updateble via PC, the default issue as well as the Mute light colour same as charging. The volume control disc could have had some ridging to grip for turning, so unfortunately for me ima gonna wait and see what else's about, 😮

For the updates it's not really a problem, i think everyone that have 330$/€ to spend in a headset have access to a computer in 2023 so it's ok, it take 5 min :) And you don't need to update if everything is good The cable for the cups, there is that in a ton of headset and headphones and i never see this break, not a problem i think, but yeah for the cushions, it will be really really spicy... just hope wicked cushion or another aftermarket earpad can do better than just full pleather... :x

My cheap $40.99 Sennheiser GSP 302 Gaming Headset is good enough for my tin ears. It's corded and old (March 26, 2018) but Amazon still sells replacement ear pads. I had to buy them once.

for mic monitoring bug if you pull it down to 0 than turn it off it will stay off im using the app on ios and xbox as the wheel i find it quite easy to use

Honestly been using the turtle beach stealth 450s since they have the adjustable boom mic I really really love and want to keep. And have been looking to upgrade to something much newer but feel like I can never find a good headset that has a good enough fix of audio and chatting features with that boom mic. Was hoping this would be it. (Console user)

I have the Astro A50's and the Arctis Nova Pro's, Astros are the most comfortable and the Arctis have better sound imo. When i first started gaming i did buy the highest end Turtle beach headset and they did me well, I'm pretty sure my GF sister is still using them 10 years later.

I had the Astro a50 gen1 and they never popped off my head. I bought the gen 4s and they constantly pop off from the clip at the top. Have you had this happen to you? If so how did you fix it?

I’ve had two astros. Never again. Unreliable plastic garbage with a worthless app. It’s unfortunate because from an audio perspective they’re pretty good.

I bought my turtle beach stealth 700 pro max for both my xbox and ps5 headset but it has very bad static when playing on ps5 for some reason. So i am hoping the new Stealth Pro is legit for all the platforms. I am checking peoples feedback and reviews to see if it is good for ps5 and xbox like it says its supposed to be.

Is it possible to have this connected to both PC and PS5 or XBOX simultaneously and just hit the switch in the back to choose the source? Or do you need to switch cables from one device to the other whenever switching devices? I have the Nova Pro Wireless which as you know can connect 2 devices simultaneously and this will be a deciding factor before purchasing TB.

I don’t find an issue with using the volume wheel, however I find it’s a bit laggy as you have to spin it a bit before it reads it’s moving if that makes sense and the charge only usb a is for charging the headset or anything else but not the battery the usb c does that while connecting to the Xbox or pc.

I bought the x box version even though I have a ps5 .... when I connect the headphones to the pc I can increase the sound and it feels good while when I connect them to the ps5 it feels different from the pc .... do I have to select on pc? because if I put on x box obviously they don't work

Quick question. Going from a TB Stealth 700 gen 2 (used it for four years) to a Stealth Pro. Is there difference in game audio significant? The complaints about mics stop working worry me though.

I just got these this week so I think the majority of the things he cited as complaints have been resolved, or maybe I just don’t find them annoying. -They connect to my Xbox within a few seconds. -You can alter all the settings, including mic monitoring, from the app on your phone. I do agree the volume wheel is a bit annoying. However, you can also use the app to change the volume and also mix chat and game volume. I like the app quite a lot actually you can alter all of the settings very precisely with sliders on the phone app. Plus the headset accepts two Bluetooth connections simultaneously so you can hear the phone audio and your Xbox so when you’re in a lobby you can still play on your phone without muting yourself. As for build quality they seem nice, but only time will tell. It is nice that the batteries and mic arm are detachable as those seem to be the two things that break most often with my headsets.

I’m having problem updating my transmitter it only goes up to 41% then it tells me to flip transmitter over and hold down with a pin for 5 seconds and it would restart the updating and nothing. I left it over night and nothing !

You should check out the Kaira Pro Dual Wireless. I'm not a big fan of Razer, but I've actually been impressed with these! Plus you can bluetooth your phone. I rocked them for a while until I pulled the trigger on the Audeze Maxwell's. (Now those are the TRUTH!!)

I’ll pass on this one since I own TB Stealth 700 gen 2 max and while it is a great headset, the connection likes to cut in/out whenever it feels like 🫤 TB still has a bit further to go if it wants to compete with Astro and SteelSeries. If you have any suggestions on how to "fix" the drops in connection on the gen 2 max, plz lmk

I have the gen 1 stealth 700s's and was worried when turning the PS5 on for the first time. It said they're not compatible but they work fine just like they did on my PS4 pro. it sucks that it doesn't have AUX(3.5mm jack) to me personal its a great headset but until I found out that it didn't have AUX Input Its pretty useless to me because I use an Elgato 4K60 S+ to stream with and the only way that I know how to get audio to work on it is Analog or HDMI Audio and there is an Mix audio but I think its just combines Analog and HDMI audio and I tried everything that I could possible think of and still couldn't get the audio to go through Elgato so I'm left with no other option but to get it refunded it's an expensive Headset yes but to me it was worth every penny if they still had the AUX input on the headset than I would be happy but I'm upset to say that I won't be buy another headset from Turtle Beach until they add AUX to there headsets again or Elgato finds a work around without having to use AUX for audio

The quality of life features are just killing this headset. I already tried it and its sounding realy good (for a gaming headset) but the realy bad buttons, voice monitoring (that sounds like shit honestly) und bad battery lifespan (12hrs) are killing it. Its realy comfortable though and the superhuman hearing works (even though the rest of your audio will sound like shit if this feature is active!) Nice Review bro keep em coming! :D

12 hrs but you can change whenever you need, it's like when i have wireless headset/mice, i just charge the mice like once a week on the night, and every night i charge the headset, if you have 2 batteries, don't worry in the morning you just change the batteries for the full one and you're good for the day, i don't see a problem to that for my taste But yeah if he have like 2x 30hrs it's better but it's not a real problem as it is 😅

SHH mode is garbage for the reason you said. Why would you want to lose the game audio quality for that? I had the X800's back in the day, and they had problems too but they were mucjh better at the basics than these. the buttons are also horrible.

You think there better then astro a50? Lol I’m on PlayStation 4. I play warzone 2. I don’t use the Dolby atoms because I can’t use it on PlayStation 4.. but when I switch over to pc I will be able too. I’ve hear that the atoms app helps out a lot… so idk if I should stick to my astro a50 or switch too these because I know u can use the application on phone with the astro I can’t I have to connect to a computer..

I took delivery of the SS nova 7x today and boy was I disappointed. Zero bass. I can’t look down or they will fall off my head. I’m just going to bite the billet and try the TB stealth Pros. I would try the 700 max gen 2 but I hear of to many complaints. I’m just looking for a heavy, loud, no bs explosion of noise in my ears lmao. I am going to give updates on both. I am going to play with the nova 7x’s tonight but they are probably going to be returned because they just don’t fit me tight enough.

@@joesipr received TB today. Wow. Played for a few minutes, sound stage wayyyy deeper. Ears fit the cups much better. A rumble that I was looking for. App seems good. Looked for firmware update but I have the latest I believe. 3.13.something or the other. In custom EQ settings on the phone I had to adjust 1 bar at a time and save then go back in to edit the rest. Also I set to pwr off after 5min of inactivity and for some reason while watching KZfaq shorts it powered down. I THINK i was still active but really can’t be sure. Will continue to monitor. I can say withen a few hours I didn’t even bother a side by side with the nova 7x’s, I immediately packed them back in the box for return shipping. I am sure they are great for specific applications but they are not for me. I like the basic chad level gamer boom of the turtle beach. Will report back!

I have the Maxwell and they’re by far the best sounding headset I’ve used (I returned my Nova Pro Wireless because they’re trash for the $350 price). I’m intrigued by the stealth pro, but I would be shocked if they are better than the Maxwell

I have this headset. I completely disagree with his take on the volume control. I have zero issues with it. I actually like it. Mic monitoring is on by default, thats annoying. I also have the Audeze Penrose. Both are good. Penrose is better. I also have the Razer Nari Ultimate. The Nari is hands down better than both for games. The haptic feedback is incredible ans immerses you even more.

I have the TB stealth 700's and I like the sound, however I mostly use my Audio Technica AD-700X's when gaming...I like how they are open back and have a pure sound....

If something is going to failed it’s usually within the first year in my experience and if it lasts more than a year it’s build build quality will last until it’s time for an upgrade 🤷🏻‍♂️

The review complains about the dial wheel, just FYI, I bought one today and, while the wheel is very thin, spins very easily. Must have just been an issue with the one he received? Also, the chat mix says "Xbox only" (though it's insanely hard to read), so I don't think it works in PC, huge disappointment. Also sideband is very weak. But overall it's better than my Arctics Pro 9 which cooked my ears, I'm on hour 3 and my ears are fine. The flip up to mute, love it. Sound is as good as my Bose.

I'm sitting here with a stealth pro on my head spinning the wheel with a single finger with zero difficulty. It's so easy my kid could do it with one finger. Very odd. Guess hardware revisions fixed that and software fixed the rest because mic monitoring definitely isn't on by default. I'd say the majority of the dislikes are no longer an issue apart from older headsets haveing a very stiff volume wheel.

You can't use game/chat mix on the PS5 unless you have a Sony gaming headset. You can do it in the PS Dashboard though.

For gaming….better directional detection by a little bit on the Stealth Pros. The Maxwell are very close but for music the Maxwell are leaps better than the Stealth Pros or Nova Pro

@@clawson32104 do you have both the maxwells and stealth pro? Just asking because I’m waiting for my maxwells but considering cancelling and getting stealth pros but that’s because most people are saying that the maxwells have a much narrower soundstage compared to the stealth pros. And I’m coming from the a50’s and only play fps games (mostly pubg at the moment) and I wouldn’t be able to deal with it if the maxwells don’t have a soundstage close to the wideness of the a50’s.

@@loadedgullloadedgull2991 I do own both along with the Nova Pro wireless. The Stealth Pro are definitely a little better at detecting sounds and directions in shooter than the Maxwells. It’s close but definitely a difference. However I do have some issues with the Stealth Pro not found on either of the other two models. For one it takes at least 8-10 seconds to connect to my Series X every time. Sometimes it doesn’t and I have to reboot the console then it connects and works perfectly no matter how long I play. It’s not terrible but both others connect instantly so I’m a little surprised especially considering the price point. Secondly and this is just a personal opinion but the Stealth Pros definitely appear cheaper built than the other 2. The volume wheel on the right earcup should be textured to make it easier to turn and seems like it wasn’t thought out that well. Also if you want the best and you only play shooters have you considered a wired headset? If so the VZR Model One is definitely better for FPS. It’s just hard to describe without actually trying them but they feel like a cheat code due to how easy it is to detect details.

@@clawson32104 ok cool, cheers very much for the info. I’ve just ordered some stealth pros which will be arriving tomorrow, because my Astro a50’s are driving me up the wall lol. They are perfect for gaming in pubg with how I have them configured the soundstage is massive and pinpoint, but when trying to watch Netflix with Atmos they keep crapping out and I have to keep unplugging them. Driving me bonkers lol. So if the soundstage and volume isn’t far off in comparison towards the a50’s then I’ll keep the stealth pros for everything and cancel the maxwells. If not then I’ll return the stealths and use my a50’s exclusively for fps gaming and use the maxwells for movies and music. Uhh, the nonsense with the a50’s is really taking its toll now lol.

Nope, Microsoft requires licensing for headsets to work on their console. Which is why you can't connect a headset on it unless it's specifically made for it. Sony doesn't have those same requirements so you can connect almost every headset you can find.

the super hearing is the only thing worth it , I turn music off, and alot of the ambient sounds down as much as possible. non multiplayer no it wouldnt help. multiplayer helps alot.. does me anyways. I dont care about explosion from outside the map or gun fire outside of the map
