Turtle Bookmarks in Polymer Clay, a Tutorial

How about making a fun turtle bookmark completely from Polymer Clay? In this step by step tutorial, I show you just how to do it. So, sit back, relax, and watch as the process unfolds.

The small round cutters can either be bought in a set specifically used for polymer clay from many shops on Etsy, (I originally got mine from MyMandarinDucky on Etsy - www.etsy.com/uk/listing/21137... ) or somewhere like PCUK Tools - Shop | PCUK Tools but I have also bought them direct off eBay, where you can search under ‘Cord Pin End Crimp Terminal Wire Copper Connectors’, to find similar cutters, but you will get a huge amount all the same sizes.

Absolutely beautiful! I love the way the unusual canes come together to make such a lovely turtle, but may favourite are the light reflections and ripples in the water! It's absolutely wonderful, the effect that gives!

Thanks so much Wendy, yes that's how I've done it for years in my sea scapes with oils, so just swapped it over to clay ;) 😊

thank you for the tutorial Fiona ma'am..... i really liked the idea of using polymer clay to make flexible book marks...... because i have seen more of those book marks made using epoxy resin like Easy Cast or U.V resin...... i think that this idea now broadens the book mark making ideas..... so thank you for this idea and the tutorial Fiona ma'am

This is beautiful I can’t wait to try this u have such beautiful ideas and ur tutorials are so in-depth I love how descriptive and step by step your tutorials are ur the only one I found so far that gives a description on how much of each color is used I absolutely love that it helps reduce waste and I don’t like wasting if I can avoid it

The 3rd setting will it be flexible or hard after baked? Thanks

If it's baked properly there should be some flexibilty, but of course it also depends on how thick setting 3 is on your pasta machine? On mine it is fine. 🙂
