Phil, I love the new line of TW Hybrid Solution of products. I used the TW Ceramic Spray as step 2 in my process with 2 coats waiting 24 hours between coats. Then at the 6 month mark, used the TW Hybrid soap, wet wax, then another layer of the ceramic spray coating & have been very pleased so far. So now, it's been about 8 months, my cars have gone through the tough midwestern winters & salt, still have protection & shine. If you're a driveway detailer, like me, these are very cost effective products. I really enjoy your videos, keep the great work...

I just bought a bottle of this product and this video was great to inform. I didn't know you could also spray the product on the towel and apply it that way! Also, using it on glass and exterior plastic as well. Good real world application. I can see how that one bottle will last a LONG time.

I polished my car on Saturday using TW Hybrid Solutions Polish & Wax, unfortunately this is a rainy weekend. However, it turned out fine, hydrophobic as heck. Today I put on the first coat of TW HS Spray Coating, slick with lots of gloss, unfortunately again, it will rain later. I'll wait until the weather cooperates more for the second coat. Can't complain though, these products deliver.👍

Oh Phil I love the fun you put in your videos, it really makes for great watching. I hope that we get the ceramic sealant in Australia. I have a Behemoth Landcruiser to coat so will seal n shine while waiting. I noticed you applied ceramic to the windscreen too. I have seen in other videos detailers applying to all windows except the windscreen. Don't quite know why. All the best for the Festive season and look forward to your videos next year. David

Awesome video man! I have done the exact same steps to my SUV.. however I have about three layers of seal n shine on it before I laid down the Ceramic spray coating. Last night after washing the SUV I used the new Turtle Wax ceramic wet wax. Keep in mind my SUV is garaged Every night. The results should be interesting. I believe these products really are meant to complement each other. It will be interesting to see The Wheels on the difference of seal n Shine versus ceramic coating. Keep up the great videos guys.

Hey guys! Can I combine this Ceramic Coating with the Turtle wax it wet? I would use the Wax it wet after each car wash and the Ceramic Coating every 6 months..

Just did my ACURA TL other day stripped off the Manzerna and powerlock and laid this down. It’s been two weeks and still slick as heck and the gloss was excellent. Wonder if I can top it with beadmaker

I still have not seen TW's new line of products where I live though. I have seen some mixed opinions on them though. My vehicle has S&S and it's holding up great.

Really? Can you get them on Amazon? I see some people don't like application and say it still streaks in heat and high humidity, but some don't know about using a spray of cool water on the paint that sets the Sio2 in the products and it wipes off easier.

The little residue / streaking is less of an issue vs the Seal and Shine.. but it's still there, especially on a black car. Extra rags are always at the ready to help with that streaking.

Yeah, I have found that extra towels or a slightly damp towels helps with streaks and doesn't effect the protection

@@PeteyMcSavage I suppose you could, but I am not a fan of diluting a sealant that was created to work straight. It's not a dealbreaker, but just something that needs to be monitored.

Hey Phil, been a follower for a few months now, I enjoy your videos and find them very helpful. I have 2 questions for you: 1) You said in the video that it was 38 degrees that day, I realize that's not optimal, but do you feel the performance was at all degraded at that temp? I ask cause I live in the north east and it would be helpful to know what the minimum temps are that you recommend for this product 2) Do you have a minimum temp that you wouldn't go below for paint enhancement/polishing? Hi. Sorry for the delay. 1) Performance definitely can be effected by the temps. Its best above 50 degrees. But sometimes as a mobile detailer one has no choice. 2) When we were mobile, usually if it was 40 degrees I would call it and reschedule, wind also is a factor in making it colder. I'm so gald we are not mobile anymore, it was rough some days.

I personally have used it on 85% of our black ram that stayz outside.s&s on the hood,needed protection but the hybrid was not available yet. A bit harder app but similar results.i will be using ethos evaporate acrylic drying aid next wash as a topper.i,ll let you know how that works out.

...the S&S is a bit harder to apply than the hybrid.inadvertantly got some on the winshield driver side...sheds water l8ke a duck.

I bought a spray bottle of turtle wax ceramic spray coating today, it says on the back to apply a second time for the 12 months of protection. I really wanted the ceramic spray, how misleading, but I suppose the real stuff is a lot more expensive

Thanks for making this video. Does the turtle hybrid ceramic has same level of scratch protection as nano ceramic coating?

Hi. You're Welcome. These products are not true ceramic coatings, they are spray coatings. Even True ceramic coatings are not completely scratch resistant like people think. They are strong and help with minor marring from washing and drying. But over time the paint will swirl slightly again.

Hi Phil how are You! TW ceramic spray coating is un my list to test. I have a question for You, I use a mothers cmx spray coating works great is really hydrophobic but My favorite Wax is meguiars ultimate I want to know if I can put the Wax again next month on top the spray coating.

Hi. great man! Thanks! I'm not sure exactly how they would bond, usually, a liquid wax liek the Megs Ultimate wax would be applied first because it usually contains some form of chemical cleaner that will mess the first layer of protection. So it may be better to clean and strip off the CMX first, then apply Megs Ultimate....then use the CMX as a topper. but honestly, try it the other way first and see how it works, then if you're not happy with the results, switch it.

Can I use iron decontamination like sonax fallout remover on the paint to remove tar, bugs etc before applying a ceramic spray? Is it a good alternatives for clay bar?

Hi. So iron decon products only attack metal particles that are stuck on the paint and need to be dissolved. It won’t do anything for bugs or tar. It’s not an alternative for clay barring either because using a clay bar is necessary to remove anything that is bonded or stuck on the paint surface. Using decon chemicals won’t make the paint smooth, that’s what the clay bar is for. 😎👍🏼

Hey Phil. So I just used this spray for the first time on my red car. Immediately, I noticed quite a lot of spots and smears despite putting in a LOT more muscle than what you used here. Do you have any suggestions on how to make the application look better and not be exhausting?

Hi. So the we have found that all ceramic based spray sealants will smear when over-applied. We have found that using a damp towel or applicator helps spread the product and then using a dry towel to polish away the residual helps. Or you could just use a damp towel or a mist of water on the panels to help remove the residual.

I have and used all the hybrid solutions products (including the products for black cars). From what I was told by Turtle Wax, this is how three of the products are to be applied to my black car - black polish, ceramic spray coating, black wax (mind you waiting the 24 hours cure time between applications). Is this how you recommend it? And is it better to spritz the spray coating onto the towel then wipe onto the surface, or spritz directly to the surface?

That’s one way they can be applied. The black Polish and then black wax are meant to be applied as a team or if you want to apply the spray coating in between that’s fine also. They all work well with each other. I would spray on the towel personally but I do t think it really makes a difference especially if you are in shade or in a garage. For mobile guys spraying on a towel is more advantageous becasue of the heat or direct sun.

Miranda Detailing because of the way the hybrid solutions black polish and wax work together it’s not completely needed to use the ceramic spray coating on the paint? But because of the way the ceramic spray coating works it is effective application on glass and rims? As I have a black car, I don’t want to waste the ceramic spray coating.

Yes thats correct...Its up to you if you want to still apply the spray coating, but if you dont want to then you can save it for other vehicles. Or just apply Wet Wax as a maintenance topper each time you wash the vehicle.

Nope. Just wash them normally. There is not enough concentration of Sio2 so that they crystallize on the towels.

Why did you start off spraying the microfiber and then switch to spraying it on the panel? Genuine question as I haven't tried these products yet.

It’s just a different way of applying it. Both ways work depending on your preference. However in hotter weather I would suggest spraying on the towel first rather than the paint.

I like both, but it depends on the tire also...some tires just absorb the dressing much and a thicker dressing is usually better than a watery one.

I checked on black varnish on graphite and on windows and there are always darker places where you can see the unworked product ... on the windows it is the same. despite wiping the panel with a damp microfiber, there is still a problem with working out the product 😞. what could be the reason for this state of affairs ???

Really? That’s weird the damp towel towel trick always works for me. Sometimes if it’s really hot and humid or if I didn’t shake the bottle enough o have some issues. But nothing a damp towel can’t fix. Have you tried rinsing the entire vehicle down again and towel drying? Sometimes people get a bad batch also.

With these Ceramic spray coating, what package did you say to consumer? I plan to make a detailing package using this Ceramic spray as protection after the paint correction. Is it excessive if I call it a "mild ceramic package"?

Hi This was a ceramic spray coating service. So the customer was not expecting a traditional ceramic coating service. So it’s probably a good idea to have it listed as a ceramic spray sealant coating and explain the differences. That way the customer understands.

You’re welcome. No it won’t last a year. But if it’s maintained with TW Wet wax every wash it will add layers to the existing Spray Coating. These TW products work really well together.

Yes wash it, clay it, and for best results a light polish with the hybrid Solutions Polish and wax or any polish of your choice then apply the Spray Coating

It's so hard to buff off any product in the chilly weather. I use this yesterday and I just kept on wiping and wiping and just marred the hell out of my paint 🤣😬😭. Any tips?

Yeah just spritz some water onto a microfibre towel and the streaks will disappear 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Yeah I did that too. Less is more with these products. Plus the product doesn’t evaporate properly in cold weather and causes it not to flash off correctly.

Really nice to see this being used on a real car instead of the usual "test panel". Have not used it yet as my BMW has 3 coats of Turtle wax hybrid sealant as it's called here in the UK. But I look forward to trying it in the New Year. 👌🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

If you detail this car every three months, how do you know the sealant you have been using "lasts up to four months maybe a little bit more" ??

Well one never wants to let their vehicle get beyond what the product says anyways. So I like to reapply before the limit of what the products say. Even though a certain product may say it will last a certain time realistically I will shave off a feed months or so. I’m fact this product says 12 months of protection. That’s why I said less.

Hey! After using this product I got black streaks on my front hood. My car is Dark blue. The product is already cured as it has been 3 days. How can I get rid of the streaks? :(

Hi. Sorry to hear that. Did you use a damp towel to help aid in application when you first applied it? The streaks should come out easily after a wash. It’s usually just an over application. The damp towel helps knock down any swearing when applying.

@@MirandaDetailing thanks for replying! I didn't know the damp towel method until I watched more videos AFTER I have done the work, as I see most people just wipe with dry towel. But now i kNow! I use rinseless ONR wash, do you think that will wash the black streaks off? If not will I have to polish??

No problem! Yeah that should work also. You shouldn’t need to polish it off but worst case scenario a super quick polish will easily remove it and start over. But start with a wash first.

The first coat will last approximately six months. Wait 24-hours, reapply to get an additional six-month coating

It says up to a year but like was mentioned after 24 hour proper cure it should realistically get 4-6 months.

No it doesn’t. It’s not like a true ceramic coating. It’s a less concentrated form of Sio2

Have to be very careful on windows. To much and kind of a pain to get off. Hazes bad.

They never answered...but I have a very good guess. They used too much product. I did a test and covered a panel for the hell of it and it was no bueno trying to wipe it off. Also they could have used a high nap microfiber. I used both and low nap worked better for me.

I didn’t get a chance to film it the time next time 🤦🏻‍♂️. We still service that customers vehicle so we will have to try again. Oh well. Life of a detailer. We get busy with work. That’s the difference between us and “KZfaq Detailers”. We actually detail for a living. 😎👍🏼

3 months later it was sheeting more than beading, but still on there. But I don't know how they washed it between our maintenance details

This product was awful on a black car. Left dark patches and streaks, I did the wipe wipe off method and still it was shite. I had to clean the panel down with water and start again with a wax I normally use. I was so disappointed

Really? I wonder if it depends on certain temps also. I have found that cooler temps mess with it more than hot. Also sometimes the paint itself can be problematic. I have used my usual go to finishing wax from Megs that produces amazing results, but on some paints it was terrible! 🤷🏻‍♂️.
