I’ve had these for 2 days, best headphones I’ve ever had, the sound is fantastic, it sounds like being in a cinema. Paid $119 reduced from $199 (Australia) and worth it. I paid extra to what I normally would, glad I did because the sound is incredible.

Found a pair of these at an antiques store for 7$ definitely got a steal, one of the reason why I live thrifting

Great having the tuning dial and the volume dial right next to each other, that way when you adjust the volume while wearing them you have a chance of upsetting the tuning too.

I have these and they are good. When the sound is paused, the static is very loud . The channel is correctly tuned, connects without issue , but outputs static when not receiving audio. This is very bad. Please advise.

Got some RS 120s as a gift. They worked for two weeks and then nothing but static. They were ordered over two weeks before I was given them, so the 30 day refund period was over by the time the headphones turned into a static phones. Sennheiser said I could return then for a new pair, but I have to pay to return them. The person I spoke with said so many people were returning headphones for repair that Sennheiser stopped paying the return shipping. Makes me think the new pair are gonna blow too.

These are great headphones (RS120) that we have had for about 7 years. We recently purchased a newer TV plus a soundbar. The headphones are connected to our cable TV box audio out and the sound bar to the TV optical audio out. When I try to connect to a streaming service via the TV the headphones will not work. I'm just not sure what to do. I have checked all the sound out settings on the TV. The only workaround I have is to use some other Bluetooth headphones and then change the TV settings. Does Sennheiser make Bluetooth headphones?

Had some of these for years which I used with an old hifi system, came here because I could not find the instructions. Note to self bag up and label any extraneous cables and adapters whenever you buy a piece of tech. Think I’ve thrown away something I now need.

My new Samsun 55in Smart tv does not have an output jack to plug in my RS 135 Headphones. I have HDMI plugs and one output volume jack that I have never seen before.

I bought these on Amazon in November 2021 and am just getting around to putting them on my TV in March 22 and they don't work.. It is to late to return them. I followed the instructions and when I do hear voices it is a radio station I think in LA and not the TV. They are very staticy and hard to hear. The volume adjustment doesn't seem to mean anything. I would like a replacement set.

RCA adapter 'sometimes' included in the pack... that's just awesome. So if your TV does not have a SCART connection there's no way to listen to the headphones along with sound from the TV at the same time with independent volume adjustment? Kinda defeats the purpose of this product for those who are hard of hearing, and want the audio to come out the TV at a reasonable (lower) volume for others to listen to while still using the headphones. This based on the fact that the volume on the TV has to be cranked to about 90% to get a decent signal to the receiver. EDIT: After nearly a week of fiddling with these headphones, going to have to take them back. I constantly lose signal from the audio source, forcing me to plug and unplug the 3.5mm jack into the back of the TV constantly, fighting with unreasonably loud static levels... Not a recommended product.

My problem is not mentioned here. When I connected the headphones to my newer LGTV, the audio is delayed. They're are settings on the TV to decrease the delay, but I still can't get the video in sync with the audio. Furthermore even if I could, that setting is disabled when I use the Smart apps (ex: KZfaq). This is rather frustrating :/ edited to add the only way I can connect the headphones is with an optical audio adaper, that's my only option

SO Sennheiser WHY is the RS120 II, also not in a closed back design as well?. Easy to do. Just an open back so the sound bleeds out the ends disturbing other. In the UK you have 2 others of similar type listed, the RS 175-U at £229 and the even more expensive RS 195 at £349. Do you at Sennheiser think we are all going to rush out and buy those two more expensive models just to get a closed back system from you. I have not, and will not. The two more expensive ones are UNCOMFORTABLE anyway!, missing out the padding foam part at the very top part of the headband, the part that is taken away so it slots into its charging station. Folks have said the bare hard plastic part hurts their head so much so they have had the bother & trouble to have to improvise sticking on extra padding to cover the gap at the top. £349 paid for a DIY job on a brand new pair of Sennheiser RS 195 headphones from you. Not looking after Customers very well are you. Sennheiser. SO, Sennheiser even at this stage in to the long long life cycle of that RS 120 model, just lighten up and bring out a CLOSED BACK design. Just bring a closed back version of the RS 120 II out as well, EASY as that!!!. Call it the RS 120C. Guess what the 'C' will stand for?. You will sell a large amount of them. OR are we also to do a DIY job on that RS120 II model as well, getting out the heavy taping to have layers of the sticky stuff covering the outer end part of the ear cups. Even if there is not a massive amount of sound coming out, there will be LESS sound coming out of a closed back design. As both we & you know. How many people WANTING a CLOSED BACK system have NOT paid the expensive prices of your more higher priced closed back systems and purchased their headphones ELSEWHERE?. More-so than have upgraded I bet!. There being a BIG jump in prices from the RS120 II to the (only) 2 others in the 'RS' range you now list for sale. Many customers just purchase headphones from your competitors, NO profit there for Sennheiser is it. End of the day it shows to me there is POOR planning from Senior Management at Sennheiser.

Cant get rid of static noise

FROM FRANCE : I bought mine (STENNHEISER REF RS 5000) in 2017 at 289.93 EUROS it costs me 48.32 euros / year intensive use of 4h / day Now he is showing signs of weakness and I probably need to change the stethoscope earpiece. Life is still expensive! next: except that the earphone alone does not sell (asked to BOULANGER, DARTY, 2 various sites on the Internet) nobody seems to sell the stethostop earphone alone. So finally: bad spending.

I REGRET buying them from day one. The only reason I am unhappy with these headphones, is that they simply will not stay on you head. Everything is fine as long as I am sitting still on the couch, but when I move a little, pick something from the floor or god forbid try to exercise, clean, play video games, cook.... or do anything slightly active...... They fall off your head with incredible ease. I also have two young kids that use them daily..... Well lets just say that the headphones fall off their head several times a day and I dont blame them for it.... it really is bad design. They might last a month or two before I get tired of gluing and taping them and have to buy new ones. No more Sennheiser for me.....never-ever again. On the positive side.... the sound is good.

Doesn’t help with newer TVs

The problem is the use of the headphones disables the sound from the TV set. So only the person using the headphone can hear the TV sound. My Sony TV cannot be programmed to output sound from internal speakers and the audio port.

I came to this video because lately my RS120, bought years ago at a yard sale and worked perfectly until now, sometimes - say, 3 or 4 times in a movie - has a sudden increase in volume. I can easily lower the volume with the knob on the right earpiece, but it's a bit of an annoyance, taking me "out" of the movie. Anyone else have this? By the way, I've never heard of a SCART connector until now, and I have 50 years of hifi technology behind me. Seems larger and clunkier than a simple audio connecter needs to be.

Biggest piece of junk I have ever bought. Followed all instructions carefully and it still did not work. The green light came on but headphones would not tune in. Green light kept going out. What the manufacturer has not told you is if you have a wifi system set up for your tv already for live streaming, this will interfere with your headphones.

Do not buy these. Very, very bad audio quality. Too many wires for a "wireless" device and the ear pads feel cheap. Use once and throwaway airplane quality. These are advertised as "maximum comfort" but don't feel the part. Set up is more difficult than it should be. I'm usually a fan of Sennheiser but these are a huge disappointment.
