This is the second time I use blender and follow a tutorial. Right before 3:30 I was like : How do I make it 60 fps, I don't want 24 fps for this project I couldn't control my laugh when he read my mind and kissed the 60 fps label 🤣

If anyone wants to know how to not have the light flickering at the bottom when the objects pass it, simply go to the material settings for the "metal" material, scroll down to "settings", and change "shadow mode" to "opaque"! hope this helped :)

This was an incredible video and tutorial. So clear and concise and so so funny. The kiss on the 60 fps made me an instant subscriber. Seeing you follow that creative burst there in the end was honestly so inspiring! It's so easy sometimes to fall into a bad habit of ignoring my own ideas when I deem them not worthwhile or too much work. But you just went all in on your idea to try and animate the pendulum in real time, and you ended up with an awesome result/discovery. I think everyone could learn something from that kind of enthusiasm! Thanks!

I have seen this pendulum mechanic in real live on a light festival over 6 six years ago it is amazing. I'm so happy I can now make my own digital version and go crazy with effects! Thank you very much for sharing you're knowledge!

Your tutorials actually remind me lectures at university. "This is what I'm saying, what you don't understand is you fault. You need to come prepared to my lecture". It took me 40 minutes to create this. And it took me 40 hours to render this. Amazing tutorial as usual! This (and your rigid body video) made me very interested in using Blender's simulations!

@@okbasto6430 2nd generation i7(not so good) 8gb ram gforce 1060 6gb 6270 frames for 1hour and 50 min in Eve. 1200 frames in Cycles 13 hours

@@Ronv007 Different frames because different animations. I forgot to mention this. The way i see it, because i am a newbie too.. that in cycles you can see it more realistic. Eve is more animated.... and again its different cases you can make some stuff real with Eve. I personaly preffer to work with Eve now...my pc is not suitable for Cycle.

A relatively simple tutorial, but fantastic effect. I had a lot of fun. I animated my waves on the surface by switching the noise texture to 4D. Can't wait to see the results. The last part with the real time recording of the pen motion was super cool.

Sinewave phase planning was brilliant! Also analogue DIY test is quite nice - you reminded me that i did the same test 15 years ago on photoshop for an abstract design project... oh old times.

sadly this is physically not accurate, because pendulums move according to a different differential equation then the harmonic one...

@@user-cj9fk8un3i That is correct. But something quite cool is that using harmonic movement to describe the movement of a pendulum has a very small error for small angles (15º has about 1% error). So it is a good enough approximation depending on the precision you are looking for and what you are actually measuring.

Love this especially the Real life experiment ! thank you for putting the effort into it ! btw you can move the camera around in first person mod by hitting ( shift + ~ ) then use (WSAD / QE ) to move, holding shift will make you move faster.

Brand new to Blender just found this random video of yours as I try to get comfortable with all the options, shortcuts, etc. and I just wanted to say thank you of all the tutorials I have followed thus far I found I enjoyed your personality and even more importantly you didn't leave anything out.. which I find others often do just to the fact that certain actions/shortcuts are just reflex to them at this point. .. though that said I did end up playing your whole video at 0.75 found it gave me more time to react haha.. anyway thanks again and I look forward to working through more of your videos in the future. :)
