In this video I'm going to show you how you can set up and protect your PA-system with three products from Behringer.
Feedback Destroyer: thmn.to/thoprod/184329?offid=...
Loudspeaker-Management-System: thmn.to/thoprod/162451?offid=...
Master-EQ: thmn.to/thoprod/195273?offid=...
I will show you how to easily set up the cross-over frequencies, the signal routing, limiters and delays wit the DCX. With the DEQ you can analyse and ring in your PA meaning levels will be equal and your system will sound much better. The DEQ also has a feedback destroyer and aditional auxilliary outputs which can be delayed. Finally, I set up the FBQ feedback destroyer in my monitor so that there will never be any feedback that could potentially damage my speakers.
Here is a list of equipment that I recommend:
D J - E Q U I P M E N T :
DJ Controller: thmn.to/thoprod/449874?offid=...
Headphones: thmn.to/thoprod/379291?offid=...
simple DJ-table: thmn.to/thoprod/494601?offid=...
a better DJ-table thmn.to/thoprod/534490?offid=...

2*5“-monitor: thmn.to/thoprod/163872?offid=...
10"-fullrange-speaker: thmn.to/thoprod/395915?offid=...
Mini-Live-Mixer: thmn.to/thoprod/259388?offid=...
or thmn.to/thoprod/194677?offid=...

bag for base plate: thmn.to/thoprod/417615?offid=...
bag for two poles for the base plate: thmn.to/thoprod/435554?offid=...

@DJ Vinzent So for those who ever go over this, I was the original requester of this video. Not only did Vinzent reply to me directly, but then handcrafted this video based on said request. Massive amount of thanks to Vinzent here, I've been trying to find a video on how to effectively "patch in" a feedback destroying system for the longest time and nobody has a solid video out there (that I could find) to use. Truly top notch work my man, I've already forwarded this to everyone I know in desperate need of help with said topic. Background on myself, I'm a wedding DJ that has been agonizing over the following scenario for months with minimal success: During the actual vows of the ceremony, I usually have the officiant (pastor) wear a lavalier microphone clipped to his collar, or a headset resting over his ear. On top of that, I usually use a wireless, omnidirectional microphone between the bride and groom. This, obviously, is a nightmare for feedback....it provides the best possible sound to hear every word of the ceremony, but one step too close from the pastor and everything goes to hell. With said video, I now have effectively negated the problem and years and years worth of weddings are going to be saved a shrieking feed back loop because of it. You rock DJ Vinzent. From all of us in America, *DANKE*

Wow, thank you sooo much for you kind words! When I made the original German video, I thought, well, nobody will really watch this and that nobody would care. Thanks to your request, I now know some DJs have the same issues as me, the same questions I had.

Thank you fir sharing this ! How do you determine what factors to consider when adjusting your limiter ?
@DJServiceFrankfurt
@DJServiceFrankfurt Жыл бұрын
That is truly one point that I haven't figured out. Most of my gear is active and has internal limiters. But I know that there is a way to figure out the exact factors to set the limiter correctly.

I'm looking at the feedback destroyer. I have a mixer that goes to powered speakers. So am I right in thinking I go out of the mixer into the feedback destroyer and from that I go into the powered speakers?

Hye.. can i connect the wireless mic strait to the feedback destroyer? The chain is like this Wireless mic - feedback destroyer - mixer - power amp
@DJServiceFrankfurt
@DJServiceFrankfurt Жыл бұрын
That will not work. THe mic (whether wireless or cable) goes into the mixer and the feedback destroyer comes between the mixer and the amp.

Hey, Sehr hilfreiches Video:) mich würde es noch interessieren wie man die einzugebenden Werte berechnet. Auf welchen Frequenzen sollte der X-over sein? Welchen Wert stelle ich für den Limiter ein?
@DJServiceFrankfurt
@DJServiceFrankfurt Жыл бұрын
X-over hängt immer davon ab, welche Frequenzbereiche Tops und Subs abdecken.

Hello, I have a question. I have an XR18, and how do I connect main out to the FBD, plus a monition channel (ex)? That is, the FBD has only 2 IN and 2 OUT. So how do I connect more monitors? How do you connect Aux1?
@DJServiceFrankfurt
@DJServiceFrankfurt Жыл бұрын
For that you need two devices
@TiagoAmador
@TiagoAmador Жыл бұрын
@@DJServiceFrankfurt Oh, ok, thanks. So i can´t have the main speakers and monitors connect at same FDB! When i saw your video and you pass the explanation from tha main out to aux 1, i thought "wait!! did he change tha cables?! how can it be possible! XD. I have the ultra curve to, so what is the order to connect everything do you recommend to me? Mixer - FBD - Ultra Curve?
@DJServiceFrankfurt
@DJServiceFrankfurt Жыл бұрын
@@TiagoAmador the FBQ onl has two channels. If you want to connect the mains (left and right) and the monitors then you need two devices (total of four channels). If you want to connect the FBQ and the Ultracurve, the Ultracurve goes first. Put the FBQ in bypass and let the Ultracurve adjust the EQ. Save that and turn on the FBQ. But really, what do you need the FBQ for in the masters? I would just have the Ultracurve in the masters and the FBQ in the Aux-outs. That's usually where the feedback occurs.
@TiagoAmador
@TiagoAmador Жыл бұрын
@@DJServiceFrankfurt yes I understand. Thank you very much. I usually have FDQ on the master, because musicians are often too close to the Main speakers, so the mics pick up more sensitivity through the front speakers than the monitors. I think this is what happens to me.
@DJServiceFrankfurt
@DJServiceFrankfurt Жыл бұрын
@@TiagoAmador ok, in that case a FBQ in the mains makes sense. Sometimes it's a good lesson for the musicians to get a feedback so that they stay away from the main speakers

S.O.S. Need help connecting a Peavey 10 channel mixer, a Peavey crossover, a Peavey feedback destroyer, wireless mics, one 12” powered monitor, two 15” powered speakers and two 18” powered subs. So many xlr cables and don’t know where to start. Anyone out there that can help?
@DJServiceFrankfurt
@DJServiceFrankfurt 2 жыл бұрын
From mixer main out, into the feedback destroyer, from there into the crossover. From the high outputs into the 15"-speakers, from the low outputs into the subs. Connect the wireless mics to the mic inputs on the top of the mixer. For the monitor, use the aux output ( pre fader)
