A love the fact they use the Microfreak as a Polytouch controller for the CS80. Personally I’ll be using my Hydrasynth Deluxe as a Polytouch controller.

How do you like the Hydra? I had to return mine because I didn't like its sound. Wondering if it was a faulty one or all of them has a boxy sound.

@ you might have not gone through enough presets or didn't try to make any sounds of your own. The actual engine doesn't have any boxy sound limitations.

definitively use CS80v4 with my hydrasynth as poly KB & ribbon controller and then layering the sound of hydra patch 001 (sawpressive) with CS80v4 blade runner sounds ! it makes monster resulting sounds patch !

Can't go wrong with the V Collection, it's wonderful, BUT I wish Arturia would think beyond the midi controller and make a keyboard that can be loaded up with the V Collection presets and played without a computer (an Analog Lab Keyboard if you like). Roland have now done this with with the release of the Jupiter X, Fantom etc. This is the future of software synth and hardware integration. Design your sounds on a computer -> load them on the keyboard -> leave your computer at home -> head to your gig!

The people I know that have gone that route were professional touring musicians who were already Fantom users. How many hobbyists are going to pay 2000 to 3000 for a stripped down version of software that they already can play on their laptops with controllers they already have? Maybe a full featured digital synth that can do exactly the same thing that the software can would be great , but it would be close to 5k in cost. For example, That little micro Mellotron still sells for a 1000 by itself.

The Jupiter XM is $1700US and it can play anything that the Zelology software can produce. I'm not a touring musician, and I love what software can do for sound design, but after the "design" I want to shut the pc down and play on a dedicated instrument. Roland nailed it and Arturia should take advantage of this idea because they are perfectly positioned to do this - more so than Native Instruments. @@dazeja

I can't find where the arpeggios are defined. In V3 I just have to click in the upper part, but that has been replaced. Someone?

61 key, with Poly AT, Ribbon Controller, Wheels and an XY pad , with a basic keystep style sequencer. I'd be all for it.

@@stinkypete9070 exactly, imagine an 88 key or 61 with all the options of the keystep pro, all of the above mentioned, or even the new mophee pad they have. I bet a good chunk of people would be willing to shell out 2 grand for something like that. It'd blow every midi controller out of the water!

I think everyone has one or two reasons to buy the collection. I wanted the prophet V and the OP-XA the most. But I'm enjoying most of the other instruments as well.

V3 imports *.csx files; V4 imports *.cs4x. I renamed the extension. V4 said Successful import but it's nowhere to be found,

Probably Arturia is also into the woke/ diversity thing. At least they could have picked someone who actually can play a keyboard. Also to watch how this woman is using her fingers on the keyboard is terrible and guaranteed for problems later on in life (if she really is into playing piano and keyboards, which I doubt).

@@EwaldK To be honest i do not have any problem with diversity, with wokeness i do. Ive seen other videos by her and she really knows what she is talking about. And now i can hear some Vangelis lines so she does know his music it seems making her all the more interesting to me in what music she makes for herself. I could not comment on her piano skills, they are definitely better than mine lol

@@peterpeper4837 I agree with this take. I've never had piano lessons, so my playing might seem weird to those who have. Im a guitar player mainly (for 15 yrs). My main concern is not using positions that cause pain to my hands. Other than that, I may not have proper form on either instrument but it is my own. I don't think anyone should be judged for that. I think knowledge of music theory is more important.

Arturia should learn from brands like Spectrasonics or Nord and show their products through serious musicians from different music styles who really know how to play. Also, if you are emulating a 61-key keyboard, you must to show it trough a 61-key controller to hear the vst in its full range. And.....the true CS80's God is Mr Eddie Jobson. No one has managed to do to this day what he did with the CS-80
