Who is paying for the equipment/running costs? This seems like a wasteful vanity project.

They are allowing individual cameras? Won't work they need a fixed feed the media has access to. Otherwise, it is just a circus.

If it is the general right of the people (subject to the capacity of the courtroom) to be able to attend and witness the open proceedings of a court, then it should follow that the people should have the right to witness those proceedings by live or recorded television. Simple as, in my view.

TV Cameras is huge and bulky why would not use a PTZ Camera because PTZ Cameras are small and compact and need only a one operator to control the all the cameras

Why cant the full trial be recorded from start to end if there is any chance of a person getting a prison sentence because it doesnt cost much to record stuff and store it. Its extremely important if someone is innocent for them to be able to make a successful appeal. Why waste money allow courts to show selected parts because if someone is innocent and is wrongly vilified its wrong. Wrongful convictions dont just affect the person sentenced it affect the families, the community and countries faith in justice and the victim doesn't get justice. Its a matter of time before someone innocent sentencing is broadcasted vilify that innocent person and then it later comes out they where innocent. People will lose what little faith they have in the justice system

So if someone is wrongly convicted. They gonna have no chance of appeal because parts of the trial will be cherry picked to make the person appear guilty. Either record the full trial and allow full access to the footage to those autherorised. This aint about transpancy this is just a change because less people have faith in the justice system. By allowing cameras to only part of the trial is wrong because it never shows the full picture and kills any chance of the person making successsful appeal if they innocent. If someone is innocent and are found guilty but because the sentancing was broadcasted if evidence later comes out that person wrongly convicted the chanced of the person successfully appealing are zero because it will kill any faith people have in the courts and media no trial that is broadcasted even if the person is innocent will that person ever get a successfull appeal.
