I know Will didn't mention either piece of media i the thumbnail, Indiana Jones was one of the biggest Box Office bombs of last year. And for The Bear... it's just my favourite tv series atm & it's getting a tonne of critical acclaim for the reasons Will described in the video.

these 3-4 minute clips are the video form edging. i know its just encapsulating a single stream-of-consciousness moment from stream, but it always leaves me wanting MORE of Mr. Neff talking about the his thoughts on the topic

Agreed, I also thing the lack of the "mid-tier" films. the slice of life rom coms/dramas/family movies you watch while eating dinner have completely stopped causes a lot of movie fatigue, its like every time I see a trailer for a movie, it's some massive thing thats trying to be the biggest/baddest movie out there, that it's going to topple records and I'm just exhausted. I watched a mid-tier comedy from 2018 or w.e that I missed "the package" and I forgot how much I missed these silly slice of life comedies. I used to watch 5-10 of these movies between each major block buster and I feel that gave it a lot of "buffer" to avoid the exhaustion, but now its like every month theres a new academy-award winning movie coming out thats gonna be the next big thing and its exhausting

lmao that movie is crazy. totally agree with ya though. Some of my fav movies aren't box office-smashing, cultural events, they're just fun, mid-tier movies that know what they are.

We have Everyman cinemas in the UK and they are sort of what you are describing these theatres that sell alcoholic beverages and hot food that you can take to eat at one of the screens, but the funny thing is that they are showing more artsy films than the blockbusters.

What’s funny is I went to an Everyman theatre in central London when I was visiting. And somehow it was considerably cheaper than my local odeon in a town in the midlands.

piece of advice: drop the other shows and watch The Bear straight away. It goes SO hard. Easily a top 3 series for me

The "Movie Industry" has been dieing for years but then Covid REALLY killed it! When everyone got used to just watching the "Blockbusters" from home and hot going out and paying a arm and a leg!
