13:33 This theme is called "The fuzz", by Frank De Vol, and was also used by Jornal Nacional, from TV Globo, in Brazil, during the same period. Even today they use adaptations of this song.

this is the longest a motivation block hit me lol EDIT: - Ulster Television isn't supposed to be there, but i'm keeping it in anyways because i don't want to screw up the timestamps posted in the chapters and comments - yes, i literally notice that WOR-TV mistake. but hey, its name is literally said in the logo, so if you can read, that's what really matters.

I wonder if The Bongo Cat was introduced during the Screen Gems / Columbia Pictures ownership of WAPA in the 1960's (we're talking '69 or so). Was there until the '90s and since one of today's owners has an investment group called G.A.T.O. (if pronounced is "cat" in Spanish) I'd thought they were ready to reintroduce it.

In the late 1970s Minneapolis-St. Paul had a Metromedia station, WTCN-TV, that also broadcast on channel 11. The station used the same station ID as KTTV in Los Angeles (seen in this video at 4:20).

During the military dictatorship 1973 in Chile they closed (for 3 days) Televisión Nacional de Chile (TVN), Universidad de Chile televisión (Chilevision), Universidad Católica de Valparaiso (TV+/UCV) And the regional channels in each zone, They only left Canal 13 (UCTV) active in 3 days, connecting to the TVN repeaters for 3 days having more than 67 repeaters throughout the country at that time (TVN Chile has more than 180 repeaters Now)

The ORTF ident was majestic to see and a great combination of musical poetry and advanced technics. Shame the ORTF would end up being dissolved in 1975 into different channels and radios for reasons beyond understanding.

@@forind934 In short, the ORTF's image had been strongly downgraded in the wake of the May 1968 protests, where the university students essentially called it the mouthpiece of the French state, which they saw as being fascistic. Subsequent French governments were less keen on defending the ORTF due to this perception problem and the overall question of the financing of the channels, since three television channels, six radio stations AND the archives department were competing for the same financial resources. In this situation, the then French Prime Minister, Jacques Chirac (who became internationally known for his opposition to the 2003 Irak War) essentially dissolved he ORTF and turned every single one of its components into an independent, though state-owned, company. This meant that the television and radio stations were to survive on advertising cash and the local television licence fee.

@@peteregressy6515Modern, TF1 was all black and white until 1979 by then in West-Germany, Scandinavia, The Netherlands, Belgium and the British Isles were all in colour.

I want to see logos from 2001 the year of 9/11 but i don't want to go too deep into the 2000s because the sound became junk and the logos became less colorful and more minimalist.

Just noticed this: the British ATV logo looked like it combined elements of two American logos: the eye of CBS and the three chimes of NBC. Not to mention that one Japanese one looked like it was trying to rip off the peacock (see leadoff)

Mistakes I found: 12:57 - it started like in 1970 not 1959. Telejurnal wasn’t 1973-1983 it was 1977-1983. BBC 9 o’clock news wasn’t 1972 it was 1969.
