As you know, 1980 marks the final year for Rede Tupi, as the government of Brazil (military dictatorship at the time), shuts down due to financial ruins. RIP Rede Tupi, 1950-1980

I really appreciate being able to help you with locating the IDs, And it is also noted that many of them use traditional animation methods, while others use the Scanimate system, since 1981 they began to use three-dimensional animations (like Rede Globo or NBC). It is also noted that there are still some countries that still broadcast in Black and White, such as Uruguay, Angola, Turkey or Israel (which does not appear in this video) and much tv stations around the world turned to color broadcasts at the time (like much Latin American and Asian countries)

14:39 They tried to update this ID several times since the late eighties, but it turned to be so iconic of their rise to 1st place in audience, that it kept coming back for almost two decades. Now it's a symbol for us 80's Dominican children.

YLE TV1 is timeless, advanced for 1965...the blue gradient background looks amazing, lovely jingle and smooth animation - no wonder it lasted so long.

26:18 RTM Malaysia :) Also there is 2 variants of RTM logo idents in 1985- but both two of them were using the same tune music of Malaysian traditional song; Dondang Sayang (which is also used as interval signal of the Voice of Malaysia radio).

Omg, in 1980 I was 8. That takes me back. My neighbor had a satellite so I recognized a lot of those. Also thanks for the old Soviet Block stuff. I love anything that’s old time Soviet Cold War.

Exactly, This country had television broadcasts since 1963, but it was ahead of its southern neighbors in the implementation of color television, which occurred since 1973 to 1977. Meanwhile, in South Korea it was introduced precisely in 1980

South Korea got TV in 1956, converting to color in 1980, while North Korea got TV in 1963, converting to color in 1973.

There was a network or production company who had an emblem? marquee? I’m trying to find… It looked like a giant grey/blue monolithic shape. It was very much on trend here, slowly turning against a black background with digital music playing. No singing, no worlds, just this stylized letter/U shaped thing. It was compact. Ugh It always gave me the creeps, and I’d love to know what it was!

24:44 this is the last ident of TBS(Tongyang broadcast studio) right before shut down of the channel due to the policy for merger and abolition of the press in military junta era of South Korea. Letter in the middle of ident card says "Fairware to families of TBS“ (en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Policy_for_Merger_and_Abolition_of_the_Press)

Hong Kong "was" controlled by the British. I don't give a shit of the past, you know. That's not my problem. they want to have independence? well that's their problem. Hong Kong is certainly controlled by China, but Hong Kong people can do well without help from China (which is actually just a lie)... So I'll stop there too, thanks for the debate.
