Ciara Doherty is joined by Social Activist Ruth Coppinger and Senator Timmy Dooley to discuss the rise of left-leaning parties.
Ciara asks Ruth if every party in Ireland is chasing the left vote.
Timmy tells the panel he believes Fianna Fáil should be included in the list of left-leaning parties; Social Democrats, People Before Profit, Sinn Féin and Labour.
Ruth tells Ciara there is a major problem with the Labour party, that the new leader Ivana Bacik was a high figure in the Labour party's downfall and was involved in the highly opposed water charges.
She points out the rise in left-leaning parties which are taking up some of their previous voters. She does not see much of a future for the Labour party and disagrees with Ivana Bacik's belief that many women will support the Labour party.
Ciara asks Fianna Fáil, Senator Timmy Dooley, if he considers Fianna Fáil to be a left-wing party.
Timmy believes that the current government is showcasing left-wing politics. He asks the people to cast aside the labels of "hard-left" and "hard-right" and look at the policies being implemented.
