I know Rose had the best intentions when she spread Mrs. Clackston's ashes around the tree but the idea of her death being the thing that keeps that tree- that she wanted gone- standing is just fucking perfect.

Mrs Claxton was a nasty witch I'd say Rose scattering her ashes around the tree was karma for being so unpleasant and nosey, nosey neighbours piss me off its one thing to peep behind curtains but peeping into people's windows with binoculars is pole volting over the line if I had been Dorothy or Blanche I would have smacked her lips off of her face! 🤣🤣

My grandpa died a year before the Golden Girls started airing. After my grandpa died I went to visit with my grandma once a week to keep her company. The Golden Girls became the show we watched every week. We laughed a lot and had fun. She had 2 neighbors (they were sisters who had lost their husbands as well). The 3 of them became known as the Golden Girls with the other senior’s they went out to eat with once a week. My grandma died in 14. I still miss her and the laughter we shared

I was watching The Golden girls on 31st December last year, I decided it was the best way to end that year. Later that day I heard that Betty White had died, and it was sad, even though she was old and you can't expect people to live forever, but she was just so kind and caring so it was hard to say good bye to her.

I don't think so. If Betty White wanted she could have played Rose as meaner than Dorothy, Sophia on even Claxton. But she knew that would be out of character for Rose so she played her as someone who trully strugles to be mean.

Still *HILARIOUS* after all these years!!!🤣....I grew up watching The Golden Girls from when it first started in 1985. I can still hear my dear late Mom & Dad laughing whenever I watch it...and it's great to get lost in these episodes and escape from all that is going on in the world today...we sure need to laugh more! Anyway, the Mrs Claxton episode is a fave of mine. Even though not shown here, when the girls and Ma had to pick out the casket , that was a riot with Mr. Pfeiffer...or 'Puh-feiffer'....LOL 🤣...God bless the girls & all from the show who are now in Heaven...and *THANK YOU* for continuing to be our friends!❤
