@CurlyG65 On the contrary, I think the comments are wholly appropriate to the dangers these tools present. How would you ensure that an inexperience operator wont pick one up and use it..............that said, I am impressed with the way it cuts wood but I know it will cut flesh with equal efficiency!!

@CurlyG65 On a small tool like a 4" angle grinder you don't have such control holding them like you do on a much larger tool. I worry that if it kicks back especially if you hit a nail & screw etc of the timber closes down on the disc. As i said i have used grinders & cutting tools all my working life & i also know from personal experience that on some angle grinders the clamp assembly on the guard can work loose so that the guard spins around the rotating disc even to the point of the clamp bracket coming so loose the guard falls onto the rotating chain disc. This has happened many times over the rears in my experience & with a cutting or grinding disc it still can be dangerous but normally you just get a lot of clatter & sparks of the disc touching the guard. I think you would get a lot more than that with the teeth on chainsaw blades catching the guard. You would not put a tungsten carbide saw blade in an angle grinder & use it , this is why a hand held circular saw has a sprung loaded guard that automatically comes down over the exposed blade to protect users from accidents. These angle grinders with chain blades are circular saws with no safety guards that cover exposed blades.

@CurlyG65 I am afraid to say i have seen worst case scenarios at work involving rotating saw blade & its a serious matter for me. One colleague was ripping down timber on a large table saw with 24" tungsten tip blade & pushed his hand straight into the blade. I will never forget his response when he came over cupping his hands full of blood & replied i have cut myself, He had 3 fingers hanging off & severe cuts across the palm of hand. Another guy was using a circular Skill saw again with a 9" tungsten blade in that had a defective guard where the guard would not always spring down covering the blade. He had just finish cutting so the blade was still spinning & stepped back & tripped over something, as he fell the blade came straight down across the front top of this leg almost severing his leg by going through most of his bone. Emergency surgery followed by many many months of physio, he never returned to work. Just my personal experience on things going wrong where nobody thinks it will happen to them.
