Catriona was the runaway favorite the apple of the eye to everyone. Thus saying, she was already a pre-finals sure bet if not an outright winner. The preliminary interview was a strong indication and her finals performance just confirmed everyone's expectations for her to win. Being an all rounder, Carson and Lu needs to water down too much attention and praises towards Catriona and give more focus on the attributes of others to level the playing field even only in the eyes of the public. Good for Cat, good for other final bets and good for MUO. Goodness Boy Abunda is in the media and showbiz so definitely he knows how to play the public perception. This is too much ado about nothing.

If the pageant takes place in the Philippines next year (which I hope it doesn't), Lu and Carson should not be welcomed as commentators.

At the end of the show, it does not really matter what Carson and Lu said on air expressing their personal favorites because they are not the judges. The selection committee or judges have already spoken and they have made the right choice and the most deserving candidate which is none other than OUR PHILIPPINE PRIDE AND OUR QUEEN, CATRIONA GRAY.
