TWC TV App Annoying EAS Weekly Test Glitch

Since around late August the TWC TV app for Roku (and possibly other devices) has been constantly showing "Required Weekly Tests" for random cities in the United States (sometimes even multiple times...) none of which are any city in the Milwaukee area, much less the state of Wisconsin... It's starting to become really annoying and making it harder to watch TV shows using the app.... especially when the app becomes too lazy to reload the channel's video stream requiring us to have to change the channel to something else and back just to get it to reload the video stream..
Fix this Time Warner Cable (or Charter, Spectrum, whatever you want to be called...)
From 4:36 on is from the same day with all EAS Test glitches recorded in that timespan....

I wouldn't be surprised if the fact that they've got the national location code in there is why all the weekly tests were getting relayed...

From what I have heard (Coming from an EAS fan), A lot of the time they keep relaying the test alerts because some stations didn't get it. And while Roku/Time Warner did get the alert, They have to relay it over and over again until all stations get it. I actually encountered something like this once. My fire TV stick relayed a weekly test in the middle of the night (I had the TV on and it scared the crap out of me). and then proceeded to relay it two more times which confused me at the time, But then I realized what had happened. A couple stations didn't get it! (By the way, I'm pretty sure the broadcasters have to try again by law, So yeah. Annoying but needed.) Thanks for taking the time to read! This actually happens due to the United States code being in EVERY alert. This (I'm assuming) was supposed to be periodically sent out to different counties/areas, but the sender didn't remove the United States' code.

Ryder: Every time the internet stops working, a random alert on the TWC TV app for Roku pops up. Angela: Listen, If it glitches, instead of a Weekly Test, a National Periodic Test will pop up on the screen for a very long time until its finished. My phone will have a wireless alert and vibrates as it pops up randomly, it may be a Tropical Storm Warning. False Alarm. - AngieWinGray Tom: Same thing happened to me too, but with a random alert with either Ben or my girlfriend Darma telling me it's a false alarm. Tailsland: A voice says "we interrupt your programming, this is a citywide/countywide/statewide/regional/coastal/national emergency, important details will follow." Before the screen appears. Sultz Z. Wolf: Update! Update! Roundup Weed Killer is designed to be harmful, an EAS scenario about it has been declared!

You’re lucky you get alerts with spectrum. I have yet to receive any alerts, including State tests, a tornado warning, flash flood warnings and the National Test

Dude the spectrum test are wierd [fyi. If you want to see a monthly/weekly test they test them around 3 am or 4

I live in North Carolina, and I also have the TWC app for Roku. We have this problem as well. I think whoever controls the Emergency Alert System for TWC or Roku had rescheduled the tests to come on only in the afternoon of any given day. At least that's what I've heard. I had my TV set on Antenna TV from 10pm to 12am (November 3, 2016) and Laff from 12am to 3:30am (November 4), and, so far, the EAS screen never came up. It's a good thing, too, since I was tired of having to have my hands on volume control.

@Javier Umm, DIRECTV Has Daily fucking tests, So what are you talking about? Plus, ALL Cable providers are REQUIRED To send EAS Alerts, So your obviously lying or you don’t watch tv that much.

I Know The Kentucky Ones, Which Were Sent From The Cities Of Bowling Green (MYFDBGKY), Springfield (SPFD14), Georgetown (G/TOWN), Mount Sterling (MTSTKY), And Harrodsburg (HDBGKY04). The EVVLINHZ Code Is Sent From The Evansville, Indiana Area. For Others, The ROMENY09 Code Is Easy Because Its From The City Of Rome, New York. The GRPVTX11 Code Is Sent From Grapevine, Texas. The ELCYNC14 Code Is Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The TWC_COL Regions #1 Are From The Main Columbus Area And #3 Being In The Dayton Area I Think.

They probably do it early, because they actually wanna believe people turn off their televisions before falling asleep And then, a large number of us forget to turn the TV off, and it wakes those of us up out of a deep slumber
