The ending of this song when Tyler's voice is slowly being blocked out sort of reminds me of someone drowning themselves and hearing Tyler's voice slowly fade away as they're leaving life one second at a time. Man I shouldn't get deep at a time like this.

Can we just talk?? About how important this band is?? Like how many people they have helped because of the utter rawness and honesty of their music? When we live in a society telling us constantly to push away our mental illnesses because having one means that you're "crazy" or "fucked up" but then there's this band in the forefront of alternative music telling us that they're going through the same things and it's OKAY to feel like that? That's SO important! And the lyrics, man... they're brutal. And it's really amazing and fantastic that there's someone so well-known who is just spitting truth; not only his but also so many other people's. I love him so much for that, and it breaks my heart at the same time, to hear my own words and my own feelings that still haunt me coming out of someone else's mouth. Sorry to be fake deep but this band is so important to me and to so many people and they have helped so many through so much. I'm forever grateful to be alive when this band is at their peak. In the past few days I couldn't stop listening to this song, it means so much to me that there's a song/someone who really understands what is like living with anxiety and losing faith due to problems social anxiety lead us in. Death is all I can think about and to be honest I'm tired of this but I can't move, there's nothing I can do, no one knows it and it kills me even more. God is the only one who can save me but I don't feel any better, sometimes I wish i was someone else so I wouldn't have to live with this thoughts and fears.

amandahasahitlist hang in there! God has a great plan for your life! I too have dealt with social anxiety and fears. What I find that helps bring me peace is when I take time alone to go to a place where I can speak those fears and anxieties out loud to God or a friend, because then God reassures me that it won't last forever and that there is peace.

amandahasahitlist I'm sorry you don't have any friends to talk to. :( how about any family members you could talk with? if not, seeing a psychologist could be really helpful! They're trained to help people and can help you figure out ways to manage anxiety and find joy in life again! Taking the first step of asking for help is hard, but doing it only proves how courageous you are! Asking for help is good! Your life is worth living, God has great plans for you, even if you don't feel like He does, He's there!

It's actually not well known, but twenty-one pilots is a Christian band, and many of their songs include God in asking for help from God, asking his fans to find God and more. This song is about Tyler (the writer and singer) asking God not to leave him behind even though sometimes he doubts, he's no good without him. Othe TØP songs with Christian meanings (om the top of my head) are polarize, The Judge, Screen, Heavydirtysoul, and hometown (This one is Tyler spreading the gospel to his fans), and that's just to name a few most of his songs are about mental health so a lot of them include God in different ways since he is a Christian. Most of his songs that include God, he is confessing his sins and bad thinking patterns. I thought you would like to know you may already know, but I thought I would day anyway. One day, I researched the meaning of the lyrics and was very pleasantly surprised.
