I went fishing at Lake William Hovell at sunset. I decided to go bait fishing for something different as I usually fish this lake with lures, apart from the winter months which is when I usually bait fish from the bank.

Hi Robbie, The last time i got away for a break was April 2022. Stayed at Cheshunt and fished a couple od days at Lake William Hovell. Only caught small reddies as well but its so relaxing and beautiful sitting on the bank taking in the amazing scenery - God's country for sure.

Nice video Robbie. I agree with you about Jan Juc Worms. I've bought from them a couple of times and their deliveries even to South Aus have been quick, and the worms are awesome. I use them in my compost alongside tiger worms, both good bait worms.

Hey mate, we had a fish there this week, pretty similar results but got two rainbows also. One on a small tassie devil and the other on a stump jumper. Tried fishing the stream at Bennies but it’s nearly bloody dry! Heaps of trout there but they won’t come out until dark, and wouldn’t touch anything we tried on them.🍻

Thanks mate. I love Bennie's, but it certainly does get tough when the water is so low and clear. There are a lot of blackfish in the deep pools there.

G'day mate, the Strike Tiger Nymph will be great for redfin at Bonnie Doon. A 2" or 3" curl tail grub will be great options too.
