CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Edward (Robert Pattinson) vows never to fail Bella (Kristen Stewart) again because he doesn't know how he can live without her.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The supernatural tale of star-crossed lovers continues as the Cullen family flees Forks in order to protect Bella (Kristen Stewart), and the heartbroken high-school senior discovers that vampires aren't the only creatures in town. Realizing that Bella will never be safe as long as he's around, Edward (Robert Pattinson) makes the difficult decision to leave his beloved behind shortly after her 18th birthday. Reeling from her loss, Bella embraces self-destruction after being comforted by Edward's image during a moment of mortal peril. But as heavy-hearted as Bella may be, her old friend Jacob (Taylor Lautner) distracts her from her sorrows by helping her renovate a weather-beaten motorbike. When Bella encounters a former adversary with a sizable grudge, she's rescued from harm at the last second by pack of enormous, ferocious wolves. He only did it because one he didn't want her to become a vampire and two when he actually did leave he wasn't doing well himself. He damn near starved himself. So he had good intentions. But that's my opinion so yeah.

@@missmimi6817 *No, he really wanted to protect her,* she is so fixated with become a vampire to be with Edward forever, he has refuse to turn her and she already hates that she's 18 and Edward is literally 109 years old but he stopped aging at the age of 17, when he was turned into a vampire, so she doesn't want to grow old, in the movie she is really afraid to look older than Edward because she's afraid that he's not gonna want to be with her if she becomes an old lady, and after an event that happened earlier in the movie he realized more at the fact of how frail she is, how risky and dangerous it is for her to be surrounded by vampires, even his own family... So Edward left to give her the opportunity to have a normal human life, you know to grow old be with her family have Kids, etc, the whole human experience, because she is obsessed with become a vampire but she doesn't know the consequences of become one, Edward does know it, he has lived them, that's why he has tried to persuade her into *not* become a vampire, but she's stubborn, so he leaves..... And when he left all that time he wasn't precisely enjoying "life" himself, he was starving himself almost to the point of "death" (if a vampire can become even more dead) he was miserable, suicidal when he thought Bella was dead.

@@cprw10 The fact that he wanted her to have a “normal” life, and so he lied and quit, he never understood one thing: that now for her life is himself. He didn’t think that she would feel bad, so since then I have never watched the parting scene, because when I first watched the second film (I was a teenager then), I cried all morning. And I always cry as soon as I watch this scene, so I don’t do it. When I told my mother that I cried because of this scene, she took pity on me, she felt sorry for me. It's all because of his bad habit - he underestimates Bella. Plus he doesn’t understand that there is no need to follow stereotypes and prejudices

I love how Charlie just walks in and magically Ed can disappear!! Haha… and she accepts the “grounded for the rest of your life” like so smoothly 😂 I loved Charlie so much. New Moon (book) is my fav, movie wise it was actually really depressing and stressful to watch Bella in pain half way through the movie but the atmosphere/music (soundtrack) were definitely one of my fav from the whole saga. Also scenes from the Voultari to ending when Ed confesses her were really unforgettable. When Bella hugged and kissed shirtless sparkling Ed… that was one of the steamiest and beautiful kisses lol

One of the things that pissed me off about the movie adaptation is that Bella forgives him immediately. In the book, she actually vents out her feelings before she forgave him. I wish it was there in the movie because Edward needed after everything he put her through.

Agreed what he put Bella through to me was unforgettable! He may have thought he was protecting her and his intentions may have been good but he hurt Bella he caused her more harm than good. He put her through hell when he left her. He messed with her mind by telling her that he didn't want her anymore. And as time went on Bella became mentally unstable she could barely function without him. She was basically paralyzed. She wasn't all that there mentally anymore and when she went to bed she had nightmares about Edward and screamed in agony. I mean hasn't Edward figured out by now that their soul mates and they need each other and can't be separated because neither one of them can live without the other. If Edward hadn't come back Charlie would have been shipping Bella off to a mental hospital and Edward would have been responsible because he would have put her there. If I was Bella I wouldn't have been so quick to forgive him I'd make him work to earn my forgiveness.
