Safest thing is to go in not expecting _anything_. This is Lynch, so there's no knowing where he's decided to take this. I learned my lesson with the X-Files debacle - I'm just happy they're doing it, and I'm not holding my breath for anything in particular. Just come at me, David.

6 episodes in, and we not only don't seem like we're moving towards a resolution, we don't really seem to have any sort of coherent storyline whatsoever.

Nah, Peggy's naturally aged, and aged extremely well.. Her daughters used to give her grief about the amounts of moisturizer she's always put on, and her admonitions to stay out of the sun. Now, as her daughter said in a interview a few years back, they have lived to eat their words.

FUN FACT: Coop and Audrey were originally planned and written to eventually get together back when the show was originally airing in the early 90s but because of overblown drama and stupid complaining amongst the actors/actresses and other Hollywood nonsense it didn't happen :( Plot points were altered aside from Coop/Audrey as well and because of that mixed with time slot nonsense and the show not being able to do what was intended mixed with declining ratings in the second season caused its cancellation. I'm still disappointed about it to this very day. Would have really been nice to get at least 4 or 5 seasons out of the show back in the 90s. Did you know that the identity of who killed Laura Palmer was NEVER supposed to have been revealed? Various pressures forced Lynch/Frost etc to do shit they didn't want to. Regardless, I can't wait for the show to come back!

The fact that Coop and Audrey never got what was obvious to everyone still stings I'm not gonna lie, those two could not be in eachothers orbit without the chemistry oozing from every pore, the whole thing with that other guy and Annie I'm sure is one of the main reason for the ratings drop.

Random interjection: you ever hear about that study where people are asked how they like their coffee, and they all say "a strong dark roast" and then when presented with coffee they take generous amounts cream, milk, honey, or sugar from grains that are not too strong? Yeah... true story. Ever since I read that I roll my eyes whenever a fictional character orders a cup of *black* coffee - _because they _*_all_*_ fucking take it that way!_ Except Winston Wolfe from Pulp Fiction "Lotsa cream, lotsa sugar." That's what makes Tarantino the man, no bullshit.

In my entire life I have only known one person who _didn't_ prefer coffee black. She was a girl I dated briefly, and she preferred cold lattes. Me, I'm 40 and don't drink coffee (an anomaly as a Norwegian). But Norwegians drink the most coffee per capita in the world, and it is generally black. No sugar, no milk, no nothing - just straight up black. I think sugar and milk is mainly an American thing, because they don't know how to drink coffee. Or tea. I recently found out, to my utter horror, that it is common in the US to use the microwave to heat up cold coffe, and also to heat water for tea. Unbelievable. That would certainly explain all the additives, because black microwaved coffee can only taste like shit.

Peggy Lipton: "(The fans) don't want it all over the place, I don't think." I think she was right, but we certainly got it all over the place; especially in Las Vegas. I enjoyed watching Season 3, but I have no desire to re-watch any of it; whereas, I'll watch Season 1 and (part of) Season 2 forevah.

All I can say is, they'd better fucking finally get Dale Cooper and Audrey Horne together now that they're both older, and the human toothpick Lara Flynn Boyle is no longer around to ruin things with her jealousy.

According to Sherilyn Fenn, the relationship between Agent Dale Cooper and Audrey Horne was stopped because Lara Flynn Boyle(who played Donna Hayward, and was dating Kyle MacLachlan at the time) got jealous of how popular the Cooper/Audrey relationship was with fans and talked her then-boyfriend into having the show end it by insisting it was inappropriate for Cooper to become involved with a high school teenager. Boyle's character, Donna, got overshadowed by Fenn's character, Audrey Horne, and the chemistry between Audrey and Dale Cooper, while the Donna/James storyline really didn't go anywhere, mostly due to how uninteresting James Hurley was as a character. Fenn felt it was absurd given how popular the Cooper/Audrey relationship was with fans, and even more absurd that the show ended up pairing Cooper with the character of Annie(played by Heather Graham, who was five years younger than Fenn), and Audrey lost her virginity to Billy Zane's character, who was only slightly younger than Dale Cooper.

Kitty Yeah, I was always angry that the show got rid of the Cooper/Audrey storyline, and I think the majority of fans were as well. The fact that it was because of that human toothpick, Lara Flynn Boyle, makes it even worse. And who knows? Both Kyle MacLachlan and Sherilyn Fenn have returned for the Twin Peaks revival on Showtime, so Cooper and Audrey may yet end up together. :) Not surprisingly, Lara Flynn Boyle is the only living cast member who was not invited back. lol

44excalibur hey good to see others know the truth about what that bish LFB did(I'm always shocked that so many fans still don't know) and just to add, it's not just Sherilyn who says that's what happened, it's the whole cast and crew basically except of course they're discreet and say it didn't happen for "personal reasons" but everyone knows why. I was just responding to another comment about this where someone asked for more details and I actually have a video of Mark Frost, Sherilyn Fenn, and others talking about it on my IG page because so many people don't know! (I'm laurapalmer88 btw, feel free to check it out if you want, my profile is public). Frost talks about how Coop/Audrey were always meant to get together from the conception of the show and that after Laura's murder was revealed, their relationship was supposed to be "the next central storyline" but they basically had to scrap it at the 11th hour b/c even though Lynch tried to make him go through with it, Kyle simply refused. Everyone (except Lara Flynn Bish) was really disappointed with the whole thing.

Difficult to answer as calling it a simple murder myster would not do it justice. There isn't really any other show like it, at least nothing else that gives off it's unique vibe. it's something you have to see for yourself really.

It's a soap opera/murder mystery that starts with a high school girl being killed, and follows the impact it has on a small town. It's a bit dated now but was incredibly influential. It starts off quirky and light but gets darker and weirder as it goes on and the movie of it is nearly straight horror. The new show is probably going to be very dark.

Evidently she is a nightmare to work with. Sherilyn Fenn herself let slip that the Audrey/Cooper romance got killed because LFB was feeling jealous of Sherilyn's scenes with her boyfriend and attention from the public and demanded it, making Kyle back her up

@@plasticweapon Lynch absolutely would not keep someone out just because of their appearance. He loves weird-looking, damaged people. She didn't come back because she's an asshole. No need to bring her appearance into it. If she and Lynch got along she'd be back, probably with a backstory that would hurt her feelings lol. It's more his style to write his opinions of her into the character and her plot. There are several times we've been told he did just that, often to the point of being kinda rude (see: Audrey, James, Lucy). So if they got along Donna would be in the show and probably written as super insecure and anorexic and struggling with her fading youth. But not gone just because she looks a little plastic.
