Күн бұрынStarting a 100 cubic inch S&S motor on a cold day needs a battery with serious cranking power. The 320 CCA AGM battery was ok when it was new; it would usually start the bike before it ran out of juice. But after a few months it just wasn't doing the job any more, so we decided to try one of the new Twin Power 400CCA Lithium-Ion batteries.

a suggestion, with lithium ion batteries instead of having to crank the 1st time without a turnover I suggest to turn on the headlight for a few seconds (10) just to activate the ion battery (wake up, warm up) that way you won't need a second start , please try it and repost your findings. thanks

I turn on the ignition switch and wait about 30 seconds. The bike usually starts right up after that.

I bought a Twin Power in Nov this year. Since new it barely cranked my 18 Sportster 1200. Then one morning, 2 sluggish cranks. Then dead. J&P warrantied it. First unit only charged to 13.3. Replacement arrived at 14.2

have you thought about upgrading to a better starter. a high output starter would make things a lot easier for any battery

The bike already has an All Balls starter and top-quality battery cables.

The twin power battery had 80 more amps.
