Concerts from the 80’s were epic! You don’t see it anymore. 🎸🎼

And cheap as kid with part time job you could afford the the ticket back in the 80s I seen so many shows from 83 all the way to the early 90s then music died. I saw them on the Slippery Tour.

@@user-qv2ur2bw3zditto! Cinderella opened. Can't remember who opened on the " jersey " tour....whitesnake or skid row?...from west coast Canada, peace.

Muse still puts on a show like this. It’s hilarious that the kids think the 90’s were the technological stone ages for sound and video quality. MTV was a Grand Experiment through Experience. Music videos were advertisements for album and ticket sales. Influencers, if you will.

Bon Jovi was a top 10 band of the 80’s

I believe the song was released in 1986. They were WAY popular!!! They were classified as a Hair Metal band; I'll admit, I was one of many chicks who were pissed that their hair looked better than ours (definitely took massive amounts of hairspray).... hahaha!
@martinsv918311 ай бұрын
Did you call them "hair bands" back then? I first heard that label long after, in maybe late 90's for the first time.. In Sweden where I grew up in the 80's it was just called "hard rock" officially on the radio. I never liked the term "hair band" since the hair was more a part of the 80's than a specific kind of music... You see variants of that same hair style in all sorts of types of music from the 80's. Synth, pop, rock and metal. In my country you were more or less considered a dork if you had short hair in school during that time.
@debbiequinn78211 ай бұрын
@@martinsv9183 We called them rock bands, the music industry, critics, and MTV referred to them and others as hair bands (Bon Jovi, Poison, Ratt, Skid Row, Extreme, etc). The industry and critics used that term from the mid 80s until the grunge genre came along in the 90s. I didn't like the term hair band either; and really still don't. In a lot of cases, critics and others focused on the hair rather than the music, which was a shame.

Im 47 so I grew up during their height! And thanks to my parents, i played music and had music all around me. Bon Jovi was MASSIVE!!! So popular! On MTV and the radio all the time. And just pumping out one good song after another. And they always had fun. It was impossible to not like their talent and their energy. It was so much fun to be there for the ride and even better seeing generations today that appreciate their talent. Thanks for sharing your reaction with us. ❤

Bon Jovi was one of the TOP hair bands! Def Leopard was another TOP band! The 80's was definitely the best music era's! Of course the progression of the 80's music wouldn't been without the 70's music! R.E.O Speedwagon and Journey were two great "ballads bands"!

Bon Jovi was my favorite band. I loved the long hair and earrings, still do actually. The 80s were a wild ride & the concerts were epic. The bands name ,Bon Jovi, is a play on Johns’ last name, Bongiovi. He’s half Italian. “Lay Your Hands On Me” & “Bed of Roses” are also great songs by Bon Jovi. “Blaze of Glory” is a solo songs written and performed by John for the movie “Young Guns 2”. I don’t know which genres you two want to explore, but I have a few other suggestions. “We Are Love” by il volo (an Italian operatic trio), “Lie To Me” by Jonny Lang, “18 & Life” by Skid Row & “When A Man Loves A Woman” by Michael Bolton. Have fun.

They were the 80s, like the no1 band to see, all decade aswell. I'd even see them now and theyre maybe in their 60s now. PS, seriously guys, you2 actually would look like his sons, I've seen a few photos of his eldest. Bon Jovi had hit after hit, literally can't miss on their singles. They have sooo many hits, you'll never be bored listening to them.

If it was recorded on film, rather than video, then it's pretty easy to clean up, and even upscale. Unfortunaly, it was (and still is) way more expensive, so not too many bands bothered. A really good example of a *CLEAN* recording on film would be Queen - Live in Montreal - Somebody to Love. It was filmed in (I think) 1981, and the quality is still amazing - Apparently there's an IMAX version in some theatres at the moment

Audio was better back in the 80s than today lol whoops. Records sounded way better than cds. Hard to explain unless you lived back then. Every generation thinks the past was stone Age lol. Life, music was way better in the 80s than today. I feel for your generation. Hard to understand as it was hard to understand how the 50s was the greatest decade to live in the West for me. In Aust in the 50s, 0% unemployment (more jobs then people) education was free for all, medical was free for all. Your income went further. No stone Age living back then). The highest standard of living ever still to this day for Europeans was the 50s You live in a world today boys that is far worse than it was in the past. Your generation is living in a world where the standard of living is way lower than it was for me and my parents generation. Since the advent of smart phones (2007, yes not that long ago) and the internet you can see a generation of self destruction. Only fans, tic tok (a Chinese spy tool, go do your research) way too much miss information on the internet has a very confused generation. Boys are girls now etc. A very weird confused world you live in boys. I am so very glad my youth was in the 70s and 80s. You guys are awesome, enjoy your day
