Twist (Rebecca Hoover) - All Scenes Powers & Abilities
Twist (birth name Rebecca Hoover) was a recurring character in the second season of FOX's The Gifted.
She was a mutant that was a mental patient before the Inner Circle liberated her in order to utilize her gifts in their overall plans. She had gone on to develop a kinship and bond with Andy Strucker until he unintentionally killed her during her attempt to massacre the Inner Circle.

It is INCREDIBLY stupid how Reeva, whose whole thing was cancelling mutant abilities, didn't just use her anti-mutant scream to stop Twist when she massacred the people in the bank. Like... BRUH.

She might’ve been scared it would’ve turned out like a Marcos situation, when instead of depowering him it just caused him to lose control and shoot somewhere else. Who knows what would’ve happened if Rebecca lost control over all of those cubes

I hate Andy he knew she wasn’t actually crazy she was mentally unstable and needed help and they did not give her the help she needed it’s their fault she turned out the way she did and in the end they just killed her

Lets agree: she's probably the one with most potencial in the whole series Despise the fact that her dimensional distortion is exclusively focused on changing the "order" of objects, if her power evolved she would be able to manipulate dimensions, which is basically a lesser type of omnipotence

@@JeanWasATelepath eve is nowhere near complex multiversal she is a matter manipulator not a multiverse 5th dimensional reality warper. Meaning she is limited to the matter in the universe itself so she is universal at her peek. What she could do to break that limit is to learn biokenesis as a subset of matter manipulation and then copy the powers of a reality warper stronger than her if there is a genetic component for example she could go to the marvel verse and copy mutant X genes from someone like franklin Richards then she could actually become multiversal but she couldn't copy magic or a divinity which is tied to the soul of a diety you can't for example clone Ares and then have the divinity of war.

as far as I'm aware: according to comics explained, any entity/mutant/thing that can warp reality even on a local scale like Twist is Omega level at the bare minimum. Personally i'd put her up there with her Magneto or Invisible woman as her lower limit and an upper limit on par with Sentry or even Mad Jim Jaspers if the writers wanted to get super crazy with her powers.

Some villains don’t have reasons, they’re just truly evil and just live for chaos, like Joker or Carnage, and I love them both ( because usually I love villains more than heroes, they’re more intriguing and interesting.. one of the reasons why I loved Rebecca )

Never gonna happen. Disney had all the “Marvel Legacy” properties cancelled. They’re creating their own X-Men universe within the MCU, the gifted doesn’t fit into their universe that’s being created.

I still haven’t finished season 2. I stopped watching it because I was watching other shows. It’s been a while since I’ve watched it so I’ll probably have to start from the beginning. I was enjoying it a lot. This is probably an unpopular opinion, I don’t know if I’m the only one who thinks this. I kind of ship Andy and Rebecca. They would’ve been cute together if Rebecca didn’t use her powers to do bad. They would’ve made a cute couple, I think.

I liked her the first time I watched the gifted, after I rewatched it again a long time later, I realized how messed up she was and although she shouldn't have turned out like that, she deserved to die after the bank incident
