He studied voice for many years. Nessun Dorma shows off that classical training. Dan is an insane talent who believes in skill more than talent. You would not regret a trip down the Dan Vasc rabbit hole. He's killer!

Dan's interpretations cause women to burst into tears and men to cheer. Most are speechless, out of breath, exhausted, happy and...sometimes hoarse. Occasionally, men get jealous when they see how their wives react. For me he is the most important interpreter in this world in the new millennium.

More Dan Vasc please! Dan is an amazing singer. His YT channels holds more than 200 songs, everything from heavy metal to opera - he can sing it all extremely well. He's from Brazil; Portuguese is his native language, and he learned English. He's sung in Italian and Japanese too! So talented! He says he took singing lessons and has taught lessons in the past. He encourages beginners to take lessons to develop good habits. I appreciate your explanation of his singing techniques - I hope you'll do more Dan Vasc songs soon!!

This analysis is great! I love how you’re going into the technique that he uses. I am a singer as well and many times when I’m trying to better my sound and technique I’ll watch Dan Vasc to pick up things I may be missing. If I’m practicing on a song that he has covered and I’ve followed some of his techniques my vocal coach always has positive feedback for me. I’ll definitely be watching more of your videos to learn from other singers as well! Thank you!

Personal favorite from Dan's covers is his rendition of Helloween's Power. First time I heard it was youtube autoplaying without me watching the video and I was so confused as the first verse kicked in. I thought I was hearing a young Michael Kiske, and then I was like "Wtf, when did Kiske sing this? This is supposed to be a Deris song."

Dan Vasc has been a complete revelation to me since last April when his Amazing Grace popped up in my phone. I had always frowned upon metal-sounding songs and did not consider it to be a legit form of music. It just sounded like an excuse to scream. Dan's versatility and chats have taught me the joy of metal music and the enormous capabilities of a highly-trained voice as you explain in great detail. I am swept away by this young guy and hope he has a very long career producing videos that I can watch whenever I choose to which has been very often !! I am subbing and wish you well on your channels.🤗

Covering an Evanescence song, is without exception, an exercise in futility. Why? It will always pale in comparison. Always! That was horrible.
@DreadKyller
@DreadKyller 3 жыл бұрын
And that is an extremely narrow view, and apparently one that a massive amount of people strongly disagree with considering the singer's subscriber count, and the views and like/dislike ratio of the video. If you don't care for it that's your feelings, but the vast majority of listeners do not hold your opinion, which should tell you something. If there's one thing I hate in the music industry, it's people who hold a particular artist to such high stature that anyone covering their songs is sacrilege or an insult. It's just about the most immature possible point of view on these topics. He wasn't trying to imitate the original singer, so comparing them is pointless and does nothing but present yourself as pedantic and needing to come to the defense of someone, regardless of whether the defense is needed. You call that cover horrible, I call you horrible.
@starlightequestrian6729
@starlightequestrian6729 3 жыл бұрын
I don't like rap. Does that mean rappers are horrible? No. Does that mean they aren't talented? Of course not! I just don't like the sound of rap. Having my own opinion is different than condemning everything because I value only MY opinion. I respect rappers and what they can do. I can see where the talent and hard work is and can see the reason others would like rap. However, I don't criticize rappers or those that like rap. I understand it is my opinion and mine alone. If you don't like covers of Evanescence, that's fine. But that is your opinion and your opinion alone.
@lancebrowning4770
@lancebrowning4770 3 жыл бұрын
Your "opinion" here is a perfect example of someone who has no culture or the ability to appreciate genuine musical talent and skill, as well as the ability to appreciate music for what it is - an artist's personal rendition and performance. To say this was horrible is an absolute incorrect statement. Doesn't matter if it is an opinion or not, Dan's performance and arrangement was genuinely good and talented, so is his skill. It is also possible for covers to be arranged and performed in a manner that is better than what the original artist did. Dan Vasc is a case of someone who usually performs a cover better than the original. And that is the only aspect that your opinion has any merit, as to whether or not you think it was better than the original. But to say it just isn't good or talented is blatantly false.
