Just a quick warning: This was the first mission of the day. A trend we've found in TTG is that people tend to get a bit...excited... on mission 1. Things go back to a more "normal" (Whatever that means for TTG) state after this.

I find it funny that a warning is in place. As unplayable as it might get when you get swarmed with stuff like that, it's incredibly entertaining watching all of the unique and chaotic situations you find yourself in, y'know, like shooting rocks destroying your main and such. Great episide btw! Seems like the stream was a blast for people

Grant losing the base to overcharged rocks is honestly one of the funniest way to get locked out of the main. Luckily, Grant had learnt his StarCraft lesson and decided to play a more defensive opening. That's how you beat rock cheese!

The answer to the trivia about which of the 4 happened first, I am fairly certain that the destruction of Korhal happened first. At the very least, I know that the confederation of Tarsonis sent 100 Apokalipse type nukes there way, or something like that.

Confederacy discovery of the zerg actually, that happened around 2487 while the Destruction of Korhal was 2491. Of course it was kept under wraps for years. A bit of a trick one because nobody expects the Confederacy to have discovered the zerg before the protoss did (as Grant fell for).

I think that for the "which collectible is most expensive" it's the Kerrigan figurine, cause the Dark Horse BC is a pretty small model, and less complicated in terms of texture and general construction than Kerrigan's you know, giant blades, plus Kerrigan was a limited edition figurine for HotS, so now she is definitely the most expensive

Yeah Cerberus returns in the Wildstorm run of StarCraft under new management with the change to the Dominion, which is what the question is referencing. They focus on resocialized soldiers under Arcturus, but then merge their two specialties into controlling zerg.

The funny thing is that spawning free shit isn’t the thrasher’s strongest ability. Y’know that plasma ball thing he said didn’t do much damage? If he held that hot key, and used an auto clicker like I did when I got my hands on the thrasher… Well let’s just say that “not much damage” adds up when you can fire it 10 times a second. Especially as it has global range.

The most expensive merch is probably the sideshow sarah kerrigan As someone in the figure collecting space, I know that sideshow makes premium resin statues, and those are ALWAYS expensive. Dark Horse, on the other hand, I've never heard of, so probably not a top tier company. And.... never underestimate the power of simps in the figure collecting world, so Kerrigan almost definitely cost more than Raynor.

It's more that Kerrigan was a MUCH more limited run than Raynor was. Dark Horse is a pretty big name in figurines anymore, they do a lot of game merch that's pretty high quality (also the last group doing SC related stuff), but their stuff is more recent so the BC only tops out around $1K, while Kerrigan can get up to $3K. But having it it's pretty dang high quality, while Raynor's poseable figurine... Has some issues (EVERYONE breaks those fucking tubes). They actually also did a Tychus statue that can run around the same price (confusingly different from the Tychus figure, which they did release) but that was employee limited so I didn't want to lump that in since it confuses things.

but...but the protoss DID discover the zerg then proceed to ignore them to the point of full-on mindwiping themselves to forget them: knowing that the xel-naga went on to make annother species after they stopped paying attention to them diiiidn't exactly go over all too well with the mainstream protoss social narrative, it's the event that created that tendency towards religious-toned aggressive idiocy in a race that otherwise leans towards an intelligent (if a bit overthorough) "we do things right the first time" mindset both culturally and biologically, this isn't obscure lore it's a straight up foundational event! we don't have all that great a timeline on things that far back in terms of millions of years but the protoss probably knew the zerg existed before humans walked upright, let alone before they were present in the sector.

The protoss didn't know about the zerg until shortly before the games, it's a big lynchpin moment where Tassadar discovers them and finds out they're xel'naga creations. I'm sure they assumed the xel'naga went to make other things after they left, but they had no knowlege of the zerg at all until Tassadar's fleets encounter the probes of them near terran space. In fact, initially they don't even know they're targeting the protoss, just that they're targeting humanity. Source on this is the SC1 manual. The Confederacy meanwhile discover zerg scouting probes around 2487, so it is the first event.
