This is Twitter's (Now known as X since my last video) reaction to the remaster/remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door on Nintendo Switch! The game was originally released on the GameCube!
How did you feel about this announcement? Are you excited for the game's release? Personally, it's a game I've always wanted to play but never got round to. Despite this, I've heard many great things and I'm very happy to see it releasing for the Nintendo Switch!

I don’t get why people are so angry that 64 didn’t get a remake. It’s not like it’s an incredibly unique game that desperately needs to be experienced in HD, and it’s already on Switch online anyways.

Sum of yah Metroid an Zelda fans need to chill let Mario fans get there excitement. I know Metroid prime 4 been at works for a while but when they release the first game remastered and they showed of tears of the kingdom teaser trailer I didn't see Mario fans complaining

Man Twitter really has to complain about something whenever they see Nintendo do something new. If you use Twitter, and also use KZfaq, please read this comment. Stop complaining, it does nothing to Nintendo and it doesn’t make them create something you want, just say that you hope for something else next direct. I still hope for a punch out, but I don’t go and say “pfft, Thousand year door? Probably doesn’t have fans!1!1 I wished *[Insert Game]* has a remaster.”, and if your not doing that, and just don’t like the game, then just.. don’t buy the game? You criticised it already, sure, but just don’t buy the game if it’s so bad. Seriously, y’all need to find a way to chill out.. Never played TTYD, but I played origami king, so I’m sure TTYD might be fun. :V

A remaster of 64 with the mechanics of TTYD would actually be a better experience than TTYD. 64 is paced a lot better, it's world is much larger and more connected, and the harsher limits on the upgrade system actually makes leveling up more balanced throughout the game and encourages experimenting with badge combos. The highs in 64 arent nearly as high as they are in the sequel, but I do think it is a better game. As memorable of an experience as TTYD is for any Nintendo fan, it is still a gamecube game which all feel a little rushed and front loaded.

Why do people want Sticker Star to be remastered? Last time I checked, people don't like that Paper Mario game because of the dumb stickers, boring battle system, and no new interesting characters. Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door deserves being remastered than Sticker Star.

@@XDGamer88 yeah TTYD is better in any way but to me that game didn't need a remake, (this is a little selfish okay but I own both games and I would still play the GameCube version again and again rather than buy the switch one but I would pay for a remake of the 64 version) the style make it kinda immune to passage of time

@@ziron5385you are right that Paper Mario 64 should have gotten a remake first… On the other hand, you can play the original right now on Nintendo Switch Online with the 64 expansion, while the only way to play TTYD is by emulating it or paying ridiculous amounts of cash for it. So it’s a tough call, but I’m glad they doing this.
