You were correct about Whacka occasionally using his bumps to recover hp. He didn't eat the regular bumps when I fought him so I don't know how much they recover, but he can eat the red bumps to recover 75 hp, so you were very lucky that he never did it for you.

Honestly, Brent got _super_ lucky that Whacka didn't heal on him. Because dude can heal himself for a lot of HP using one of the Whacka Bumps that are spawned upon hitting him *Which that healing is drastically higher if he heals with the red Whacka Bump*

He's got 108 HP because of the significance behind the number in Eastern cultures such as Hinduism and Buddhism. The 108 temptations one must resist to achieve Nirvana. They ought to rename this dungeon the Pit of 108 Trials and add powered up versions of the chapter bosses at the final 8 or something.

In case it wasn't clear, the battle theme in the Pit of Trials, the area past the Thousand Year Door, and Hooktail's Castle all share the fact that a sibling of the Dragon trio is in it. Also, that big stage hazard was a Bowser statue... Not sure why it's a thing, but that's what it is. o3o

Well, this was a nice trip back on the Memory Lane to the days of our early youths! 🤩 Such a Classic Act is this RPG! 🧐 It was a pleasure to watch you go down through it Brent. I just hope one day we'll be seeing a re-enactment of the original Paper Mario for N64 😍

I handicapped myself up until after Chapter 5, focusing mostly on Badge Points (I think I upgraded Heart and Flower Points just once); then after Chapter 5, I tested the "Power Rush" build, and I was surprised by how effective it was, so I completed the rest of the game 100% with that build, while also having Ice Power, Spike Shield, Multibounce, and Quake Hammer, as well as multiple Power Rush badges equipped, while also stocked up on Life Mushrooms. Got everything done easily afterwards, even getting the Gold Medal Badge, and now I'm just focused on getting Mario to Level 99 by farming Amazy Dayzees.

That was great dude! And I agree. The whacka fight was a lot easier than the prince mush fight!

The Prince Mush battle was insane! Funny enough, it's not just the fact that he powers up like Goku, but the two are also former champions. For Goku, it was the World Martial Arts Tournament, for Mush, it's the Glitz Pit. Come to think of it, Mush's clothes have a similar color scheme to Goku's Gi in Dragon Ball GT, though the pants are black instead of yellow. This Toad *radiates* Goku energy!
