Everytime i now see Shabba Doo dancing i want to cry, his passing has left such a hole in the World Of Dance. He was a Master at every style he performed at. He was so fun to watch . I go back and revisit the old videos of he by himself or with the LOCKERS. HE WITH BOOGALOO SHRIMP WERE ICONIC AND I AM SO HAPPY THAT EVEN THO OTHERS MADE COMMENTS ABOUT HOW CHEEZY MOVIES LIKE ELECTRIC BOOGALOO 2 WERE AND BREAKIN AT LEAST THEY ARE ON VIDEO FOR FOLKS WHO LOVED THAT ERA TO ENJOY AND GO BACK TO RELIVE THOSE DAYS WHEN STREET DANCE WAS ON THE RISE. THAT WAS MY GET DOWN AND THO I CAN NO LONGER EVEN PRETEND I CAN STILL MOVE LIKE I ONCE DID , I STILL HAVE SEVERAL COPIES OF THOSE VIDEOS TO REFERENCE. RIP TO OTHERS THAT LIKE SHABBA DOO ARE NO LONGER WITH US. RESPECT THE ART OF THE STREET DANCE AND THE RICH HISTORY THAT GAVE US A PLACE IN THAT TIME AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPRESS WHAT WAS INSIDE US BUSTING OUT TO TAKE THE MOVEMENT BY STORM AND MUCH RESPECT TO THOSE MASTERS WHO STEPPED UP THE GAME UNTIL THESE DANCES WERE GIVEN TO STUDENTS ALL OVER THE WORLD THAT THO SOMETIMES I SEE THE ORIGINAL DANCES SEEMINGLY WATERED DOWN , BUT ITS JUST A DIFFERENT INTERPRETATION FROM GENERATION TO ANOTHER..

@@TheFourNineThree Shrimp was best of them all. He was a natural and stood out. I think bc he was so incredibly smooth had soul& could dance.
@TheFourNineThree3 жыл бұрын
@@ThePrincemichaeljack go back and watch Breakin again. If it looks like Taco stole every scene and was the superior popper that wasnt by mistake. Its because he actually was. He annihilated TKO all by himself. Dude was a beast. And if that's not enough go back and watch early tapes and footage of him practicing and poppin in garages with Boogaloo 🍤. He was literally untouchable when it came to poppin. 🌮 is the 🐐! Period.
@ThePrincemichaeljack3 жыл бұрын
@@TheFourNineThree No need to watch again, I've seen this movie too many times. The one that drew me in and ALWAYS do is Turbo AKA Boogaloo 🦐!!! Poppin Taco was very good as a popper and I still remember that first scene of his. Turbo blew my mind with his Poppin and the WAY he so naturally moved along to the beat was ,for me, phenomenal! The personality along with popin the smooth way he moved/ danced he really had it all. Michael Jackson used his style too. I liked Poppin Tac too, nevertheless. I just enjoy dance more when a natural dance is incorporated into popping over straight poppin.
@unknownx72522 жыл бұрын
@@TheFourNineThree it's like this for me I can't decide between the two, when I watch turbo do that broom choreography I think he is the best, when I watch poppin taco pop and go into that cobra move I think he is the best, it's close between the two for me but in the movie breakin I think poppin taco and Pete won both battles.

LOL. Turbo and Ozone are dancing to a song about potential nuclear war between the USA and the USSR. Then again, about 40 years ago, every 3 or 4 songs (regardless of genre) wailed about half the planet being blown to bits by us or the Russians. We were supposed to be glowing in the dark, eating three-eyed fish, drink polluted water, etc. Who here remembers doing nuclear fallout drills in school?
