At 3:59 doesnt a4 just immediately lose to trading off everything? rook captures, knight, black rook recaptures, queen captures rook, queen captures queen, rook captures queen, king captures rook, and bishop captures rook on g8? The 2100 had 37 seconds left, im surprised he didnt calculate that quickly enough

It was a bad decision to take the terrible b7 Bishop with the active Knight. Unless the N had nowhere else to go. I'd watch it again, but I can't stand it. I was laughing at the end.

How can a 2100 player be so crap? I mean I'm 1600-1700 and I knew that was awful.

The knight was about to lose the pawn that was defending it, it was gonna get dislodged from its active square. While i agree that keeping the knight was probably better, the thought process behind trying to trade it for a bishop is sound

It's not sound. He gave up an active and deadly piece for a useless one.@@LordLegender Also the pawn protecting can be replaced by another and if you take it, you end up losing another pawn and the knight is still active.
