I actually recorded this while I was doing another video and figured it would be good as it's own video and thus this was born. It is not my usual style, a lot more laid back, and off the tip of the tongue making it a bit rough around the edges. But I think the point gets across. Hope you my comparison between the Razer Orochi V2 vs Logitech G305
After I made this video and it was literally posted. I looked at the price difference between the two. $50 to $70 is a big difference. I thought I remembered the Orochi V2 being a lot cheaper (closer to $50). Maybe they increased the price due to demand. Maybe I'm just a moron. Regardless that does make a difference but still think saving your money for the Orochi V2 and getting it on sale would be the way to go.

Have bene using the white G305 for 1,5 years now, before that a black G305 for 2 years before it double clicked, near perfect in many factors and really satisfied... EXCEPT the loud left click. I want to get the Orochi next just for the quieter click, is it a good idea ?

Honestly, I have no idea where I put my G305. So I can't do A - B testing between the click noise. I don't remember how loud the clicks were as I've tested a lot of mice since then. All I can say is that I like the Orochi a lot. If you can find it on sale and you won't miss that money that it would be worth trying out. But if you greatly enjoy the G305 I don't see a reason to switch either. As chasing the "next best thing" is a rotating door and the finish line doesn't exist.

oh heck.. I have alleviated most of these problems 2 weeks ago on my G304/5.. when I decided to uhmm... well... spend a few $10 worth of kailh silent switches, and soldering paraphernalia.. I opened the mouse up and replaced the switches with the silent clickers.. now I don't have double click problems and I got really quiet clicks so I don't disturb my family members in the living room with my aggressive clicking.

What should be theminimum and max distance between mouse and dongle for orochi v2 does it loses performance? And i never used wireless mouse so the Bluetooth mode will connect to dongle or the PC's Bluetooth? I don't have Bluetooth on my pc

I want to say about a foot is considered the ideal range. But it’ll say somewhere in the documentation that comes with the mouse if you read through it. As I don’t remember exactly off the top of my head. Depending on the wireless mouse they come with just 2.4 GHz wireless OR Bluetooth. Or both. Bluetooth will have a lot of latency and can be used for normal browsing but never for gaming as it will feel terrible. Also, the 2.4 GHz is automatically connected to the mouse with the included dongle that you would plug into your PC for the wireless function to work. No need for Bluetooth. Which will also get you the best latency.

Recently got the Orochi v2, loved it immediately after I was having wrist and shoulder issues from using larger mouses like the DeathAdder. I took a short break from Razer to use some ergonomic mice from Microsoft when i discovered that I really enjoyed the claw grip on their mobile mouse, which allowed for my finger joints to absorb all the micro motions instead of my wrist, and that solved my joint issues. This Orochi is just a larger more light weight version of the Microsoft Mobile, and I love it, especially because I have it paired with the Razer Blackwidow lite, which is why I keep coming back to this company for their well designed products that maintain a long lifespan from what I've witnessed.

That's awesome man! I'm glad it is working so well for you. Totally agree, I find that the smaller weights help me just use my fingertips (along with the lightweight) which puts less stress to my wrists, forearm, elbow, and shoulder. Also, agree with Razer. A lot of my favorite products are Razer. They certainly have their misses (like all companies do). But think when it comes to mice and keyboards they knock it out of the park.

@ThomasMuehler
@ThomasMuehler Жыл бұрын
Any mechanical switch has the chance of breaking down and double clicking. Which means if you are trying to avoid that altogether than you need to look at mice that have optical switches. Both the G305 and Orochi V2 use mechanical switches. I hear Logitech mice in general tend to have double clicks more often than I've heard from Razer. But I've had people report double clicking with both mice. But the G305 moreso than the Orochi. But that could be due to a lot of different reasons. Otherwise, the only reason why I would say change the mouse is: 1. You want to try something new (shape, size, weight, color, brand, etc.) 2. You are wanting to upgrade (better sensor, wireless, RGB, whatever else you can think of). 3. You didn't like the G305.

razer deathadder v2 x hyperspeed wireless or logitech g304 for gaming like valorant?
@ThomasMuehler
@ThomasMuehler 4 ай бұрын
Have you looked into the Razer Viper V3 Hyperspeed? As I think I'd go for that one. Still same battery design. More symmetrical shape. Medium size. For the most part premium specs which means you have the best sensor on the market and access to 8,000 Hz if you want (via the non-included hyperspeed dongle). Assuming that the front sensor position doesn't throw you off. And is a safe shape for a multitude for hand sizes and grip styles. Around same price as the others mentioned. I think the Deathadder V2 x Hyperspeed would be the other option I would pick over the G304. Because again, I'm a spec/performance guy. Which means I'm biased towards that and prioritize that over everything else. Depending on your own biases that may not align with my recommendations. My biggest issue with that would be what is your hand size and grip style? As the Deathadder is a large mouse and very wide. Which can limit aim potential. But that is us getting into other weeds. Put simply fingertip/claw hybrid grip tends to be the best for maximum aim potential as you have full ROM of the mouse. Fingertips for micro adjustments, hand for small/medium adjustments, arm for tracking/big movements. Which is where the G304 would do better. As smaller which means easier to dominate. But I think the specs are quite as good. Would be interested to hear which one you go with.

@@ThomasMuehler while true, does it matter much unless you want to move it as fast as possible
@ThomasMuehler
@ThomasMuehler Жыл бұрын
 @General Grievous I personally find weight to be a huge deal. The three main aspects I find in a mouse (these days) is weight, size, and shape (not in any particular order). I find with lower weight it gives me a lot more control over the mouse all around, which makes sense when you incorporate Newtons Law of Motion. A lightweight mouse will be easier to move all around making it more percise. As you can start and stop it easier, making flicks and tracking easier. Even doing small movements requires less force giving you better granular control and therefore better accuracy. With it being lightweight you also have less fatigue over long periods which you could argue leads to being able to play at a higher level for longer. Personally, I find 80 grams to be the heaviest I'd go for an "ultralight" mouse. I find 60 grams to be the most ideal for "performance mice" and by that I mean competitive FPS. With 45 grams being hit or miss for people. Where some find that is too light and for others it continues to give benefits and love it (I am part of this group). Weight just like shape and size are highly individualistic so you gotta go with whatever is best for YOU. But I have found through my research most people find a general increase in ability at the ~60 range more so than the ~80 range with a decrease going higher than that. That doesn't mean you can't perform extremely well, just that it takes more effort. As everything still comes down to the individual and the skill they possess over the tools they are using. It's just that certain tools make things easier. You can build a house with hand tools but it is far easier with power tools.

Hi my man, I'm considering about the Deathadder v2 x hyperspeed and the Orochi v2 , I don't know which one is better for me
@ThomasMuehler
@ThomasMuehler Жыл бұрын
Depends on what you are looking for. As mice are personal preference. I'm leaning more towards the Orochi V2 as I think it is the better mouse. But it highly depends on your grip style. Grip Style: Orochi is going to be best for fingertip/claw as it is a small mouse. For most people (unless if you have very small hands) you won't be able to palm it. Whereas, the Deathadder V2 X is made for Palm grip and is a large mouse. Also, tends to be quite wide. So if you have large hands that is going to be best. If you have medium size hands it may feel a bit too big. However, it is going to be more ergonomic. Specs are better on the Orochi V2. With the biggest difference being the sensor. Which may or may not be a big deal. If you are more of a casual player it won't matter. If you are a hardcore esport individual it may and I would recommend the Orochi.
