And people think that classical music is boring. Wow! I was like you two, I didn't know Tina, but I'll sure get to know her after that performance. EDM, computerized auto-tuned electronic drivel ... Blagh! real music is out there. Artists like Tina are making it, and I am eager to hear it. Keep finding these people! And what's the next concert ?

Thanks for not interrupting the song. This piece is actually Tina covering another KZfaqr named Dr.Viossy who arranged the song for electric guitar. Moonlight Sonata is a 220 year old song.

Yeah, they used his arrangement from a 2011 YT video (where he sold the backing tracks and tablature for his arrangement for 3 pounds in the description box) on Rocksmith and Guitar Hero. I like Tina S’s version better. She used less distortion than he did giving it a much cleaner sound.

Anyway, Tina does a cover of that, which Steve Via sent Tina a text congratulating her. So I suggest/propose your next reaction of Tina S be her cover of "For the love of God" you will not be disappointed.

Just a few more weeks of practice, Juliet and you'll be that good .. :) There are a lot of instances of rock/classic cross-over: quite a few rocks bands icorporating an orchestra in a piece, some orchestras playing rock music, and then studff like ELP (Emerson, Lake and Palmer) with Fanfare for the Common Man and, of course, the album Pictures at an Exhibition - taken from the original Mussorgksy (and I can't believe I spelled that right without looking it up first!) suite.

The Great Kat - Beethoven On Speed. She was a speed metal guitarist in the 1980s who played metal versions of classical music. She was considered the fastest guitarist in the world and inspired the whole Flight of the Bumblebees speed challenge and YT guitarists like Tina S., Sophie Lloyd and death metal shredders like Sonia Anubis of Crypta. The Great Kat doesn't get the respect she deserves, she was the OG female classical shredder.

This was transposed for guitar by Dr. Viossy in 2011. Then Tina got a hold of it and owned it! There is a split screen video showing Tina on the left and Dr. Viossy on the right. Their hands both move the same all through the song. Another young prodigy to check out is Max Ostro. Listen to his "Malmsteen Trilogy". Playing anything from Yngwie Malmsteen at such a young age is amazing but like Tina S., he doesn't miss a note and barely looks at the guitar.

Due to an growing disagreement between two other people in a thread that I started where I wrote how Tina S was just 17 when she recorded this video and that she memorized the score in just four days, I had to delete my original thread and leave out the erraneous part from this new one. Gentlemen, you both know who you are and that I am now aware of the difference between Tina S' teacher and the male guitarist in the "Duet" video, and of other aspects that emerged during the now deleted exchange. Classical music and heavy metal is closer related than most people knows. The buildup of the composition are similar but the instruments are of course different. To some extent the musicians also have things in common. If I say the musician I now is thinking of had long hair and was flamboyant dressed. He had a bad temperament and a drug addiction. He had a high standing with the ladies and a supernatural skill on his instrument. He filled concert halls and mesmerized people with his talent. No, I am not thinking about any rock guitarist from the last 50 years. I am thinking about Nicolas Paganini, a master violinist that died in 1855 if I remember correct. A lot of the violin stuff is relative easy to adapt to on an electric guitar. However this piece by Tina was written for piano and even clever pianist struggle with it.🤠

I thought it was PRINCE !
@runedahl1477
@runedahl1477 2 жыл бұрын
@@0ParisFrance The description of Paganini could be used for Prince I guess but there are also other rock guitar players that has some of the same quirks. I have to correct my self regarding the year Paganini died. It was in 1840. If you take one of his most known pieces, Caprice no.24, it feels very natural to play on a guitar. It is if it was written for the guitar in standard tuning. However it is difficult on violin and top violinist often plays it to show off their skills. On any instrument this song sounds good.👍

Thx sooooo much both about this React... about ours amazing little French guitar Heroes (she's like playing on Ligier Guitar) So, i have many answers about her... this was his last cover on video, cause since 2016, she disappeared, after many years (she's start at 7 years old with acoustic guitar), but you can find on YT many covers playing by her (Steve Vai, Patrick Rondat, I.Malmsteen, Eruption by Van Halen etc etc), cause she's a Legend on YT... In France, we (Metal Musicians) don't know the real reason of his disappearance, maybe she decided to change his life ? to stop playing guitar (i don't think so) ? or because of his parents ? We haven't news of her since this last cover & we miss her very much... I salute you & family from France... keep safe Girls !!!

Tina S. has gone MIA from KZfaq since this was recorded in 2015. She's still alive and well from what I gather, but she got so many negative and cutting comments from people that she actually made all her vids private for a while, but her teacher I believe, (the same guy that's done some training with Dany of The Warning), convinced her to keep them public. It's unlikely that she'll ever record anything again for YT, but I'd sure be happy if she would at least post something about her current status. (Actually she updated her status on FB in March of 2021, and added some new pictures, so it seems all is well) She also did a cover of 'Through Fire & Flames' by Dragon Force, and Herman Li, himself reacted to it and really liked it! That song is even more complex than this, if you can imagine?😮 I missed the notification that you gals were reacting to this until it came up in my faves just a while ago. Hope you 2 are doing well!😄👍

Tina started playing at 6 years old. I did the math. You have to practice at least 6 hours a day to become great at something. Times that by 10 years equals 30,000+ hours of practice. I think the ocean waves word you could be thinking of is Fluidity? She is very fluid with her guitar playing. Good job!👍

Now, I know I am going to get hate for this, but; Where do you cross the point from making awesome music and just making unintelligible noise, this reminded me of the "Fastest violinist alive" playing the flight of the bumblebee, what is the point when you cannot appreciate it and there are points when there is no distinguishing garbage noise from real good quality noise, a good fast difficult string "solo" listen to Gabriel Vivas' solo in "The rain must fall" by Yanni(And the violin is also impressive right after the guitar), but this, this one I did consider to be that, just someone trying to be fast and ruining most of it

BY the by, you girls really need to react to Juan Gabriel's "Hasta que te conoci", and "Abrazame muy fuerte" in Palacio de bellas artes

As a piano and trumpet player I understand your viewpoint. However, I take issue with your last statement. If you watch Tina's covers of For the Love of God, Altitudes, The Loner, and a few others you can see she can play with emotion just as well as her technical ability. She's not playing to just be fast. Transposing this piece to guitar is very difficult and to get the expression you seem to be looking for is almost impossible, but Tina does achieve this at the very end. You can see her pushing the guitar away from her body to bring out a tonal difference, along with other subtle differences throughout. Now I admit the backing track probably contributes to your overall opinion. It's very aggressive. However, its purpose is show that Tina stays right on beat, never speeding up or slowing down. One other note, Tina spent her first 7 years of training on classical guitar with one of her major influences being Ana Vidovic. She understands the differences. I'm not a guitar player, but i know enough that to get the clear tones note for note while running up and down the fret board at that speed requires a master's touch. one blip on timing or pressure is going to cause the soundwaves to run into each other and it would sound like the train wreck you speak of. So I would invite you to watch again, not from the viewpoint of comparing this to a piano or violin version, but just to appreciate the level of playing it takes to pull this off.
