The guy in the first clip is a trained wilderness guide in Alaska I think, who takes people to see bears. He's not a hunter. The gun is just in case but he has been dealing with bears for a long time. He's good at what he does or he wouldn't be doing it. It's his job to keep the people with him safe. 👍

I am very happy that no bear was harmed or killed. These hunters did the right thing by keeping their distance and protecting themselves by not making any noise or start running. And these bears were very intelligent creatures not to mess with people who carried guns. LOVE the bears, they all were absolutely gorgeous! 🐻🐻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🙏🙏🙏

I have watched a few videos like this over the past few days. When I was a teenager here in my home state of Michigan, we had friends who owned a resort in the Upper Peninsula. We would visit them several times a summer. On the way within perhaps 20 miles, there was a town called Moran. They had a garbage dump on the outskirts where black bears used to come in to search for food. We would join a number of people at the dump, to feed the bears marshmallows. We would throw them as far as we could, to keep the bears away from us. I once saw some people who didn't throw the treats far enough purposefully, and a young bear scratched the outside of the drivers door, under the mirror. And a bear has some long claws and strong and powerful arms. So it did a bunch of damage if I remember right. By the time I graduated high school, back in 1978, the Michigan DNR ( game wardens) had closed the dump and chased the bears away. That was the right thing to do, since it tamed the bears to feed them, which caused them to go into the town looking for food, with no fear of humans. Remember this was over 40 years ago and things were different then. We have learned a lot since then. Now there are bears all over the state, including my home town of Hesperia, which is the middle of the mitten and about 30 miles from Lake Michigan. There are also cougars, which my oldest son came across about 10 years ago. He walked within 10 yards from one that was stalking a turkey. He went in the house to get his wife and a camera. And of course a weapon to make sure they were safe. It was still there, but they didn't get a picture as once they got closer the cougar spooked, and ran away. The states DNR still denies that there are cougars in the area, with no proof. But there are quite a number of my friends who have also seen them. I think it is a bit political, due to the possible loss of tourist dollars, etc.

Why didn’t they just move off,you can’t scare off hungry bears by shouting at them,bears are dangerous….

These Bears seem to pay Respect to Humans if they Show to stand their ground instead of showing impression! I think they know we are above them but like Dogs they try to test if we know it ourselves - sp they challenge❣️
