Thanks for sharing! Super helpful. I heard housing in Germany does not have any AC or even allow to install AC. Is that true??

They do not have AC but you can buy fans and portable AC units to plug in!

Do you get to pick what neighborhood/style of home you want to get on the waitlist for?

Each base is different. For example, in USAG Bavaria you can pick an area to live in for your "wish list" (if you qualify), but you will usually get what's available. You may be able to do this at Wiesbaden as well, but not 100% sure. Best thing to do is get a sponsor right away and ask, or join a FB group in Wiesbaden where you can search/ask the question to local military stationed there.
