Two managers at the Ouzo Bay restaurant in Baltimore are no longer with the company following the latest dress code controversy involving an Atlas Restaurant Group restaurant.

It wasn't the manager that initally refused the black child entrance. in a prevoius more longer video, the manager asked, said it was the owner of the restaurant that refused the service and did not want to talk to the woman when she complained. Now the managers have been sacrificed to cover up for the owner's sins. Boycott the whole chain. The owner needs to own up to bad judgement

Dress codes are there to deny service to Blacks. It's selectively enforced against Blacks. This is not the only case. What about that mall that arrested Blacks for wearing a hoodie. Then 4 white women thought it was racist and did the same thing. They walked around with hoodies and no one said anything. Not even security that walked by.

No. BOYCOTT ATLAS for creating a poor dress code, not training or explaining, not being proactive considering how EVERYONE is looking for a fight and also for firing anyone trying to follow the last line of that code. That poor kid at the door was not being rude or showing any sign of being racist. If you can't see that you're not wanting to see it. This was not a deliberate act and BTW, were there any other blacks there, at all? (is black safe to say? I don't want to be offensive but whats ok to say TODAY?)

The manager was doing what he could to try and avoid there being an issue. He wasn't the one who denied her entry to the restaurant to begin with. It's a shame he's getting all the flak when he was put in a rough position by his boss who eventually let him take all the heat and fired him.

Because these managers were just enforcing the dress code, and the code prohibited athletic style shorts. The black child was wearing athletic shorts while the white kid was wearing khaki style shorts. Gordon Ramsey was also denied entry because of only his shoes. Managers called the restaurant owner, he said, "No, even celebrities like Ramsey cannot break the dress code." So, after that, would you make any exceptions and risk your job? This became a PR nightmare for the company because of current racism hysteria (see the "noose" at Nascar). They will settle a wrongful dismissal lawsuit with the managers out of court and have probably already budgeted for it. This is just mob rule.

If ATLAS provided that dress code it's their fault. This wasn't racism anyway but so many people want that don't they. That poor kid was trying to do what the code said and athletic wear was not allowed. If they meant shorts they should say NO SHORTS. NO TEES NO GYM SHOES and left athletic out of it.

It looks like that, but it was actually the owner who made the decision, kinda made the manager a scapegoat. I've seen many versions of this event, but one of them's a longer, more thouroughly explained video. The manager was actually trying to help the mom but the owner decided not to face them face to face. I hope the manager got a new job, wishing the best of luck for him and the family.

Our restaurants are also all opened, but some never closed. They did just take out up until two weeks ago. Then everything is back to business as usual. Facemasks are required.

Years ago, after a Broadway show, three friends and I entered Siro's Restaurant in NYC's theater district. At the door, I was told I could not enter because I was not wearing a tie. (I am a Catholic priest and do not own a tie.) I respectfully explained this to the manager but was told that this was the policy; that there were NO EXCEPTIONS: NONE. This was hardly the first time I'd experienced antiCatholic prejudice. Not to ruin everybody's evening, I donned a used ascot offered by the manager. Five minutes after we were seated, actor Anthony Quinn and his date were given the table next to ours. I noticed that Mr. Quinn's shirt collar was wide opened and he had no tie on. Not wanting him to suffer the embarrassment of a public scolding when the manager would eventually discover the error, I went to Mr. Quinn's table, removed the ascot, and gave it up to him with a very brief explanation. The manager came running over and put the entire matter to rest in record time. It turned out that Mr. Quinn was just fine the way he was dressed and, Saint be praised, suddenly so was I. My point is, I stuck with the EVERYONE RULE; I did not use any other reason. I saw no need to do so. The house rule was that EVERY MAN in Siro's had to wear a tie. My sole and logical question was understood, even without speaking it: If that's the rule, why does it not apply to this man? p.s. Ten years later, I was preaching at Saint Monica's on the East Side. During the sermon, Anthony Quinn entered the church and remained until Mass ended. Just before leaving, Mr. Quinn shook my hand and asked me with a grin: "You look familiar. Have we met, Padre?"

There are so many scenarios that could happen. We did not see if the child ate there, he could have come after they were seated, it could’ve been an oversight because it was busy, the white kid is not wearing athletic wear he’s wearing casual clothes for kids his age. They were outside they could have sat themselves. The manager never made a decision it was the owner who told her first before he even came into the situation he even went back and asked again the owner told him no. The manger was fired for doing what his boss told him to do, also for enforcing policies of the restaurant. There was still a dress code just because one person slipped through does not mean her child should be able to as well.

The whole Atlas Restaurant Group needs to go as many people have complained about them having a double standard at their other restaurants too. Apologies are not enough. If "problems" keep happening, then it's policy. Hit them where it hurts -- their bottom line. Don't eat at their restaurants and tell your friends why they shouldn't eat there either. And then have them tell all their friends. The most effective protest isn't a picket sign -- it's a dollar sign.

Boycott those chain of restaurants. If not for this lady with her camera phone, the management would've ignored the matter completely. Only now they're being Woke, well they should be Woke in horror when they find nobody is gonna eat at their place no more. Let this be a case study for all restaurant owners with their stupid dress codes. As if wearing clothes wasn't enough for them?

Schools have dress codes, hospitals have them, service workers utilize dress codes, then why can't a restaurant have them? It's not the dress code that seems to be the issue.

@@miamyerssinger yes, if you're not wearing a mask in a public building (including schools), then one must be supplied to you. It's our law here and I oblige by that. If anyone refuses to wear a mask, including teachers, they will be sent home. I also work in the public schools and feel it necessary for this rule for everyone. As to dress code. Yes, a school dress code uniform is given to children who can't go home and change. If they have a religious or other reason for not wearing the uniform, they can wear an alternative school appropriate outfit, but this has not been the case in the last ten years. Our school is 24% black and 76% Hispanic. It's an inner city struggling school and we do provide uniforms. I will finish reading your post and reply if I see fit.

A mask is necessary and so are uniforms, but you will never see it. As to war...go tell that to a veteran. You're a joke and a ticking time bomb....tick tick tick tick....BOOM.
