Thank you so much! No matter what I do I feel like I have so far to go when it comes to videography and editing… time consuming too.. Gothic Basin rocked and I’m glad I did it!! NH and Maine have some amazing places to hike, very rocky, lots of Pine trees and Birch as well which makes the flora interesting and different than the PNW. Shorter mountains but they are brutal with the gains.. lol

@alpineamanda9376 I saw that you found the mine and also summited Gothic! Awesome. Glad your NW trip was good. That whole Monte cristo area is rich with history and ghosts. I tried to summit Del Campo last summer and didn't, so I want to try Gothic, and then Del Campo again. I'll let you know if I ever make it to your area. Take care!

Thanks!!! I’m still trying to figure out how to upload it in the highest quality but I’ll get there! Yeah, I wasn’t even using a gimbal, just a hiking pole! Can’t wait to get back out and try it some more. 🤗 South twin was a leg burner haha!

@@AmandaDouin did you have a higher quality 4K recording or something? still looks great! yea South Twin is rough that way for sure! I also forgot about how that little steep bit where you climb towards Garfield Ridge Trail from the Gale River. When I did Galehead back in February there was barely any snow until that climb up and it was full snowshoe territory about halfway up. Your video jogged my memory. I was very thankful for heel lifts! Also in the winter it's easier to tell that there's actually a little area of scrub off the summit of Galehead that affords limited views of the Pemi and Franconia Ridge. I explored a little up there but then ended up in a spruce trap (even with snowshoes on) and decided it was better to stay on trail lol. I actually have a video from that a while back in case you were curious what it looked like in February and also had an insane bluebird day on the Twins in January before we got much snow at all up there.

Well I’m glad the video upload ended up better than I expected! I jist feel like when I use my iPhone for the edit and upload it wasn’t as good, but maybe it’s doing the trick! Haha. I will have to check out the videos! I haven’t done these ones in winter yet, can’t wait for it though 🤗

I have so much to learn! Haven’t uploaded it to my computer, just used my IPhone and it couldn’t handle it very well either lol. I’m excited to see all it is capable of!! 🤗 Loved your Maine trip videos!! Keep ‘em coming!

They are pretty rocky and rooty! The hut was clean and the staff was friendly! I didn’t stay long but hope to stay overnight sometime in the future at one of the huts in the Whites.
