I just got a new amplifier for my neighbors sake. He has been riding a 4 wheeler around the property in back of me day and night. The cops said there is nothing they can do about the noise out here in the country. Sadly he is out of town right now on a job. When he comes back I am going to give him the same courtesy he has shown all of us. hehehe!

In college (in the 90s) in our dorm we had 'loud hours' during the day. I lived in a music/ed/theater major dorm. There were a few jocks that got an empty room next to mine and my room-mates due to renovation across the street, and all they did was play rap music and alternative scream-o- even outside of loud hours- LOUD. One day my roomie and I took his 12 inch Harmon Kardons and his subwoofer and stacked them against the door between our rooms (it was an old dorm and had weird stuff like that) and put on an old Jethro Tull album full on. And then left or an hour. It was awesome. They finally came out of their room and went downstairs to complain (but its loud hours, right?) about that "weird Egyptian shit...." .

I bought one. It’s killer. I’m sitting in my bedroom playing a Marshall 100w head, master at 3 o’clock, through my studio monitors. No computer in the room. Luxury practice tone, with a baby down the hall.

To me. This is the best solution if you're recording in an apartment. You can still use a Tube Amp without pissing off people.It's the best solution in general. Being able to use different cabs is way better than only having 1

The normal Captor work just fine as a load box to get the amp signal in the daw and then use IR in the DAW.

So you got a fender reverb at home in the middle of the night so you put on the captor X to go silent and then your cable get rid out and you fender reverb is turned on half 40 Watt power waking the whole city and state your living ? Is thats the Two Notes Captor X we are talking about ?

@@kangaroofoot Depends how loud your TV is? It's all subjective. I've played my 50 watt Boogie and my 50 watt Kraken at 2am in the summer time in my basement while my family was asleep 2 flights up. They had bedroom fans running at the time. Maybe that helps?

Bit of caution: this has a spinning fan inside the housing, so it's not passively cooled = fan sound. Not sure what the noise level is but the rack version was too loud IMO. You could always stuff it in a desk cabinet, but most of you might want in sitting on the desk which sometimes means close to the monitors.

Kindly answer me wether you need no real cabinet with cranked up amp if it's speaker output connected to Captor X. Otherwise, in any event, let's say -38dB setting on Captor X, you still connect amp's out to connect to a cabinet. Which is correct?

The Bugera PS-1 is also an attenuator and DI, just a rebranded Jettenuator. Obviously not as high quality as the two notes, but its also much less haha

A paddle they no longer make anymore but is a vicious pedal and would love to hear through your Randall Satan is the Seymour Duncan twin-tube Mayhem. It has a built-in boost and also has a frequency control for low to high as well as boost control on there was a switch it would be very cool to see you take that pedal on and put it through your and I'd be interested to see it. I own one myself and I absolutely adore the pedal. Try that in one of your videos man I would be greatly appreciative.

Torpedo Live has no Bluetooth connectivity and has single TRS output. Torpedo Live has more memory for sure and it is in rack version and Torpedo has no attenuator. So on Torpedo Live You can play either normal volume or without a cab, and on Torpedo Captor X You can buy kick in the attenuator.

Hail Ola ! So I bought the Captor 16 and then this came out a week later.SMH. It's still in the box, I'm gonna see if they'll let me return that previous model towards this model and the difference of course . Anyone try the new MESA version ? The last Mesa model was an absolute piece of Monkey F*** from what I've heard, read,and and seen. Someone gave me one a couple years ago. I use it as a paper weight. No lie.New version sounded good to me.It always sounds good when the Chosen one plays through it. Ladies and Gentleman, Mr. Conway Twitty.

That's a very useful device. However my koch studiotone amp i bought in 2004 has most of these features included. Line out, speakers off, speaker cab and microphone sims, phones and recording out, reverb. No attenuator though. This stuff should be standard.

Never plug your amp head directly to your audio interface. It will fry it. I learned the hard way about 4 years ago. You need something like a Two Notes to make that work.

It's worth it overall, especially at used prices. I hate the workflow with digital modelers and IRs but capturing my own impulses and using a captor to record my rig is the closest I've gotten to being ok with it. Can't always crank everything. Two things I don't like about it - it's ohm-specific and it WILL feed back horribly if it's too close to the amp and you crank it too much.

Please can you help. I just got this product. I have an orange OR15. Now if I use it like it says,it only acts as attenuator. I can’t get even a hint of reverb or anything other than like I say just the ability to play it driven hard at a low volume. Any tips ? It works fine with head phones . But don’t want to play exclusively like that .
