The best thing: Apparently if you are ALREADY an existing customer of Two Notes and have bought IR's or hardware, you get a copy of Genome for FREE! :) Thanks Two-Notes. Edit: Your patches are amazing RJ! Very comfortably nailed down playing "Danger Zone" with that 80's lead patch :D

I purchased the Wall of Sound a while back and also got the email yesterday to install Genome for free. Huge thanks to Two Notes. Only tried it a little but it's.....superb! This could be my new go-to.

@@RossDaviesTwoNotes sweet. By the way, I was trying to send an email through the contact form on the website, but it won’t let me. A bubble pops up over the telephone field saying “match the requested format”. Tried on safari (iOS and on mac) and firefox, neither shows a format and has the same issue. Just fyi

WOW R.J. Take a lot of time to rap my Head around all the preset's!! But you put some great pairing up some smoth and Rocking Tunes!! Its interesting way to see what putting the one in front of another & behind the Other, without having to go through hours of Plug in and unplug! Just move them with the Mouse TY Brother, Your Music-In-Law 🤘🎸🤠

Their twin tracker is actually better than Neural DSP's doubler. It can get even wider and sounds a bit better to me when I a/b them

Interesting that they named the Marshall type amps "Albion". Steve Grindrod is a guy who used to work for Marshall that started an amp line called Albion. I have one, it's pretty sweet. You can run two channels on top of each other, so have a cleaner channel blended into a dirtier one

Hi, I did not know about that Albion brand, the name in Genome is used as an alternative to Great Britain. ;)

I think I’ll still use my pedals and my amps into my Captor for the most part, but now with this I can also take a clean DI too and mess with some different sounds post tracking. Pretty convenient for some quiet playing with headphones too. And best of all it was free. No complaints from me, thanks Two Notes!

Is that Fut The Wok 🙂. I didn´t like it much for cleanish sounds, they were kind of thin and brittle and needed a lot of effects to sound bearable.

Props to Two Notes for giving this to existing Two Notes customers. Just got a Two Notes Captor 16 for my birthday, to use with my Vox AC30 and Marshall ST20H. Bought Pete Thorn's cab and the Blue Alnico Vox 212 with the two discount vouchers. Hopefully they'll add a Boss Blues Driver, then they would have all the main drive pedals I use. Twin tracker, NAM integration and noise gate are neat features. Not really using the reverb, the Valhalla and Arturia ones sound better and offer more variations/options. And I'm fine with that.

RJ can you tell me what computer cpu/system you have, what interface you are using, and what kind of buffers you can get away with for this software? Getting a lot of latency stuttering with this one at 128 buffer.

This plugin has an over sampling feature that defaults to on, if you turn it off it uses a lot less power. It’s in the top right. Turning this down let me run it on my kinda crappy PC

Running into the same challenge. The quality of the emulation of the components may very well be the best I've seen thus far but it is also probably the biggest CPU hog of any amp sim I've used.

Does it have a standalone mode? Or, does it have to be opened in a DAW?

The trial version is not loading presets, and is severely limited in funcionality. For example, there isn't a single drive pedal.

I'm using it, and although the Marshall sound is good, everything else is sooooo bad! And the fact that the simulator doesn't have the same controls as the original amp is also quite disappointing.

I dont seem to be getting it, I used the two notes with my phone only, and thus I didn't get a free version.... really sucks, spent several hundred on it, I want to use genome, but dont have an extra 80 for another amp sim rn

Yah the tones are great, but I had to pass on this one. Very cpu intensive, I'm getting some pops and dropout on presets with a lot of things added. None of my other amp sims have a problem. Loading it into bitwig and it's the only thing loaded. Too bad because I was ready to buy.

The pedal emulations sound good, the amps are meh. They don’t feel very accurate. Just tested it out against my other amp sims.

Ross from Two notes here - have you tried the CODEX engine for AI amp captures? You wont get more realistic than this!

@@RossDaviesTwoNotes I tried some of the captures that are in the presets. I have to delve a little deeper. If it’s like a Kemper, or STL tone hub, then it sounding good would be dependent on the person who captures it?

@@MaximusWhyman That is indeed correct - however we have found that the majority of captures on sites like Tone Hunt really are great!

Horrible fake amp tones for me. Every real tube amp, which only sounded like these models, wold be an instant return from me. Fx-collection also is poor, no OCD, no Zendrive, no spring reverb, no Univibe or Leslie, no a single tape echo, just to name a few. Only the typical exchangeable 08/15 trash. First logging-in lasted over 30 minutes! Not the best start, to be honest. For me practically unusable. Already deleted, only wastes disk space. The only positive, having the chance to hear these - so called - amp models stopped me from buying Opus.

You can use NAM models instead of Genome’s one. Or use a load box with your amps and only use the IRs, DynIrs, effects and post processing, which is what I do.

@@olric63 I could, but what for? I am no fan of ecosystems, I already have some (even better sounding ones), but hardly use them, much less I am a fan of any neural (amp) models, although I have captured tons of them by myself. I only never wanted to use even the best ones instead of the real gear. If aynbody likes this system, no problem, but it's nothing for me.
