Two on One Uchi Mata by Steve Mocco
fanaticwrestling.com/
In this wrestling moves video, Steve Mocco teaches the Two on One Uchi Mata.
Wrestling Fanatics was started by a pair of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belts, Michael Zenga and Bernardo Faria who have a passion for all things grappling.
They feel that nothing is more important than improving your Wrestling skills as much as possible in the least amount of time. Their aim was to create a shop for Wrestling Students who don’t look at Wrestling as a sport - but as a lifestyle.

definitely like how Steve Mocco TELLS us what didn't work for him, { trying to just step in without the pivot, when he showed the PIVOT in this video, I could instantly see that's the KEY. Creates mechanical advantage, leverage > the power comes from the force of hips not upper body. Really great demo.

Key is the overlooked and under taught.. back step! He said he loads his hips under his opponent’s before he puts his foot to the ceiling. Awesome technique!

I think he started in Judo and eventually gave it up for wrestling. He had a hell of alot of footsweeps in wrestling and I think maybe Judo helped him form that game. You guys got to watch the Hawkeyes documentsty where Mocco is in it. The guy was an absolute animal of a heavy weight.

Wow, Mocco is an amazing instructor. He breaks it down so well. As great of a wrestler as he was, he really seems to have a gift for instruction. Reminds me of guys like Kolat, Smith, Adams and Douglas, who just have a special genius for sharing their knowledge.

Steve Mocco is one of the rare wrestlers who cross train in judo and I'm pretty sure he competed in it too, this goes to show what a beast he is.

He was a Judo prodigy. An absolute killer. He was so dedicated to wrestling that he decided to pass on the Judo olympics. His sister represented US Judo in the olympics instead.

Tons of great details. I can see alot of options to work off of from here or to chain if they defend well. Great technical breakdown.

FANATIC WRESTLING my coach showed many judo techniques just left out the fact they originated or were more popular in judo lol much respect for this discipline - thank you 🙏 for the great content I’ll be watching judo highlights and it’s funny to se techniques I know how to do just executed a bit differently with the gi and I don’t recognize the name whatsoever lol

@@THIS---GUY Yeah i think under freestyle wrestling rules more old school Judo takedowns are allowed than under modern Judo rules. Judo rules are so castrated these days.

I think the reason your uchimada is not working for the high throw is your set up is better suited for Tai Otoshi or Te Guruma. Your actually to close and behind to get him loaded up for the big up and over . But don't get me wrong, it works as is.

I maybe wrong but I think Wrestlers don't commit as much as Judokas because they don't want as much connection with their opponent and be reversed after the throw like you see commonly after an ippon (which does matter in judo because if you land a throw the match is over)
