One of the best storm-day time-lapse videos I've ever seen. All the sudden changes in cloud motion and wind direction make it really interesting. Two different shelf clouds passing from different directions. Then there's the big lightning bolt and colorful sunset through the rain at the end.

These must be well storm cells or supercells. You can see the structure of the anvils at the start, strong outflow winds, and at the end you can see mammatus clouds combined with a sunset.

WOWSVILLE!!!! ASTONISHING!!!! This should be broadcast on TV, if it hasn't been already. It is really extraordinary footage!! You can actually see how storms form and different types of storm cloud formations, the wind picking up ... SCARY and WONDERFUL!!!! Where was this filmed, by the by? I noticed the wind was blowing the trees upward as in a tornado rather than pushing them down in one direction, so I wonder if this was a tornadic storm?

XrackProject A supercell is a rotating storm. The storms in this video are called squalls, which usually have the long lines of clouds at the front seen at 0:27 and 1:01. However, supercells can take on the appearance of a squall. Oof, this is gonna go onto r/iamverysmart
